Fog Light Protection Kit

I noticed one of the entries on the pinned Accessory Thread it made reference to a Nissan Maxima Fog Light Protection Kit (http://www.headlightarmor.com/09-10-...ction-kit.aspx) which looked interesting.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with this product?

Thanks!

I was actually look at that earlier since i'm purchasing things for my replacement Max. Installed pics of the lighter smoke would be great if anyone has actually done it.

I was also wondering about these: http://www.lundinternational.com/pro...ess-ventvisor/

I've been wondering about the functionality vs looking like !@#$ aspect of them...

I was interested in the "seamless" ones also but they are almost three times the price of the regular ones on ebay. From the pictures it looks like if I want the chrome I can just use the stuff they sell at the local parts places. I would love to see pictures of our Maximas with these on. I don't think anyone has them.

As for the covers - anything shatter resistant in front of your fogs = a good thing. That they come in 'smoke' hecks ya!

On the Ventvisor - they work, you can run with the windows down about an inch in a monsoon and stay dry - also good for smokers as it helps draw the smoke out of the car... HOWEVER they do take away from the smoothness of the Maxima (all generations) in my opinion.

I have had Lamin-x film on my 5.5 gen glass foglights for the last few years and have not had a problem. Nice thick film to absorb rock chips, and keep from shattering the glass.

Yeah i'm just wondering how much of the smoothness is lost with the seemless though. Looking at the pic of the other vehicle with them doesn't look so bad, but i don't see a way that they could make them hug the side of a Max like that and still be effective. As much as i'd love to have some since i am a smoker, i think i'd rather get a little wet when it rains than have it look like poo.

I keep trying to contact Weathertech to see if they plan on making the in-channel visors for the Maxima, but their customer service is awful and they never get back to you.

I will be the guinea pig for the seamless ones. I just ordered them. Will let you know how they look once they arrive. I am thinking of getting the fog light protection too because it's a lease and I don't want to have to replace them if they crack.

Here goes. Overall I think the profile is great. I wish they had put a chrome strip the same size as the factory but doesn't look bad. I am going to reach out to them to see if they have the small pieces to complete the back windows. I see it in the installation instruction pictures but I didn't see it as an option when purchasing. Anyway, you guys can decide for yourself. Ignore the tape, I didn't do a final install yet.

Don't worry you are not high. I just distorted the house for privacy.

I think they are worth it. Keeping them. Get them here. Best price I could find.

Oh and I think tints are a must. Those should be coming in the next 2 weeks and should make these look even better.

For some reason i can't decide if i like it or not. I can't shake the feeling that it makes the side windows look.... "sad"? Like a frowny face... Haha. Probably one of those additions you have to really see in person and be able to walk around it to see what it really looks like.

Thanks for taking a chance on them Hamzer. Glad you like them

looks ok, it wouldn't do well with my chrome on the side, but does this add extra wind noise? I bare open my window while driving because of the way the wind flows on this car.

I just got the HID blue ones. Mainly to keep them from getting broken. I don't have any pics and won't till at least next week. My wife is out of town with the car. But they look great! Can't really tell when the lights are on, but they look nice and blue when they are off! I am happy with them

I too bought myself the HID Blue one's and they do look very nice.

When off the fog lights look with a hint of blue, however when on it makes it blend all the lights blend a lot better (HID's & Halogens).

If it ever stops raining here in Upstate (4 days non stop thus far) I will grab some photos.
