Possible?? Maxima rear arm assembly can crack and throw off ur suspension??
2 weeks ago I took along trip to south Carolina on a family emergency then I took an extra week off for my self ad drove to miami since i was only 6 hours away. A total of around 3200 miles on the car from the trips but omw back I felt that the car rolled alot and I even took it to the D&B meet on Saturday and it didn't not feel stable I took it to the dealer today and they call me to tell me that the right arm assembly is cracked. And I have no idea howcthat happened never hit any pot hole but I doubt it was a pot hole to cause this since it's a very hard part and well idk dealer wants me to pay $600 for parts and labor has any one ever herd of this should I pay the $600 or is it something that I can cover under warranty???
warranty can cover it if the dealer can prove it failed due to a manufacturers defect, in this situation it wouldnt be easy to do so because i doubt this kinda thing happens all the time..definitely something to try and get the dealer to have covered under warranty
You should tell them to prove it was damage from misuse that caused it. They can't unless there's other obvious damage to the car that they can use to directly link this problem to say, an off road bottom out.
It could easily be a manufactures defect, and they could easily file it I'm sure. I would not suggest you pay anything as long as you're still under the mileage protection...

I remember there was a recall on the 09 maxima, where the left rear knuckle had some problems. Im not sure if this is the same as your problem. The reference number is NTB09-031.
Also which dealer are you going to??

I never paid a dime for any defects...it's important to have a good relationship with your stealership! I also purchased extended warranty twice and up to 100K miles! 6 year old Maxima SE in mint condition with 90K Miles!
If the crack is caused by driver misuse, there has got to be evidence of same. A whack mark or something. Even if you were jumping the car, there are other signs of mis-use. Otherwise, it's covered under bumper to bumper, 36k.
If you lose your case, the car's insurance will cover it under collision. The deductible will bite you.

ShadowX - I'd like to hear more about how your car felt with the cracked arm. I've been having ongoing suspension problems that the dealer has not been able to fix. Does the problem feel worse at certain speed range? On certain types of roads? Over bumps or on smooth pavement? Thanks.
