I like the tint!
you know, this reminds me...
my car has this thing the stupid dealer added that's like around the edges of the doors to prevent nicking other cars when we open the door. I forget what it's called. how the hell do you take them off? I hate them, and they kill the smoothness of the car. we had them remove the stripes off, but forgot about those ugly *** things

Just peel them off. If adhesive sticks to the paint use an exterior lacquer thinner that's safe for paint. Or Goo Gone would work too I guess.

how easy do they come off? I don't want it to take the paint with it lol
just peel on it hard?
I guess I can spray some goo gone to try to get it on the tape while the guards are on the car, and that should make it easier to get them off

It's basically Paint Protection Film on the door edge. Should just come right off but probably leaving adhesive. Don't be afraid, it won't take the paint with it.
