I've never encountered that, but for anyone who finds this thread in the future, it is normal to have a clunk as you pass 20 MPH for the first time after starting up.

Yea I get that all the time, it never bothered me because I experienced that same exact thing in my dad's car.

How different is this klunk at 20 mph from the vibration reported in the TSB's as a fault with the transmission?

The transmission TSB is a response to the CVT's tendency to lug the engine at part-throttle. This induces a low-frequency resonance perceived as a booming sound. The TSB reprograms the CVT to hold higher engine speeds that won't cause the resonance. The 20 MPH clunk has something to do with automatic brake calibration; it's unrelated.
