Just bought the Stillen Lip. Should be here by Friday, then off to paint. I know this thread is useless without pics...but they will be up ASAP!

no worries, the excitement got the best of you. As long as you post pics as soon as it is on, all will be forgiven.

I'm feeling like a 5 year old on Xmas eve. Its due here on Friday, but for some reason I keep checking fedex's site every half hour! lol Soon after the lip comes the Axis Angle's with the machined face. 20x9's and the Eibach pro kit..... Found a place rims, tires, mount and balance with lugs for 1750 shipped to me! thats a couple hundred better than any other place on the net!

Yea I did it myself. Took all of 20 min to fit, make a tape line, sand the bumper under the tape line, wipe the bumper clean, 3m stick it to the bumper, then 2 self tap screws to hold it. Anyone who pays someone to do that is plain lazy...or very timid! It's almost fail proof!!

The Lip Spoiler comes in a single piece or two seperate pieces?

BTW, what do you mean by sanding the bumper? And why is that?

It's a single piece. And where the 3m tape is on the back side of the spoiler... That's where you want a solid adhesion. You will get a better adhesion with a scuffed surface rather than on a cleared surface. It's all on the instructions and stillens website

Congrats mate. Is it necessary to sand the bumper or it's better to do it?

Is it already comes primed? Does it require any prep before painting? Or it's ready for straight painting?

how is the fitment on yours? black hides everything well. mines white and fitment is like 97 % theres a little spot underneath the right fog light where u can see its not totally flush about an inch. gotta look hard for it though.

I'm sorry to say, but these lips are too heavy handed for the rest of the car. It's too sporty and too aggressive for a sedan especially when it doesn't have the side skirt and rear bumper lip to make it flow.

the added lip makes the car look front heavy, and makes it look like it needs something on the sides and rear. It's not flowing.

if the lip is a stand alone lip with no side skirt and rear bumper skirt to apply, then the front lip has to be very subtle and light...thin so that it does not obstruct the rest of the proportion of the car.

a lip this size HAS TO come with matching sides and rears.

Mine looks flush for 95% of it, but there are placed where I can see if I did more of a pre-fit and sanded more it would fit better. Figure I'm going to scratch mine on a steep driveway or two and when I go to repaint that I'll pull it off and sand it for a better fit and re-paint it.

The side skirts look nice, but don't look that much lower than the stock ones which is probably why a lot of us skipped the side skirts. I've been looking at them but considering how small of a change it would be and how much they'd cost to buy/paint that would seriously have to be what I consider expendable cash. From the side the Stillen lip doesn't look too low compared to the rest of the car, in fact the splash guards compliment it nicely in my opinion.

I like the side skirts, but enough to pay 500 plus paint and install cost? Dans right the lip is a perfect subtle touch that really adds a nice aggression to the front, but people have different taste so do u BB!

Daniel can u school me on the prefit sanding part I don't really understand how to truely go about it? I'm tempted to pay to have it done but I feel that's such a waste. I just don't understand how to sand it to fit!

I don't fully understand it either, but I took it to a shop that said they were going to pre-fit and sand certain areas so that it fit tighter. I just had mine done with basic sanding/paint and mine isn't as bad as the photo you posted but I have a few slight gaps in mine as well. Enough that if you're RIGHT UP ON IT you can see and tell it's not factory, but from 2 feet away you can't tell. I figured unless it bothers me a lot I'll leave it alone, and its been months and hasnt' bugged me at all. Yours though, maybe you should try undoing the screws at the tip, pulling it in as tight as you can and use the screws to sort of hold it tight against your car - if that makes sense.

well as it turns out in the pic I took i had just tried to fit the lip myself b4 paint to see how it would look and I actually had one side raised higher than the other causing the large gap. Still havent gotten my lip back from paint though, should have never trusted a rapper to paint my lip damn you u slightly successful music artist!
