Results of first complete hand wash, scratch removal, claybar, and wax (all Meguiars)
I love the Zaino system. It is by far the best stuff I have used. I got it to try it out. I figured it wouldn't be much different, but let me tell you it is! I have never seen paint look so deep. Its great. Also it does last really long. I have been impressed by it. Plus all their products smell amazing.
I found them by looking for leather conditioner that didn't make things shinny. My wife loves the smell when i get done doing the seats. Not very strong, but a nice smell.
Now I have been called names on this other thread, and cheater pics, not sure what that means. They are my car, but here are a few pics of my black max.
The first one is dirty, A little saw dust on the car.

Well worth it in my opinion. I got their Total protection show kit. Kinda pricey, but i feel i got exactly what I paid for. http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...ct_Code=ZKIT-2
Also I used the clay bar, then followed by 1 coat of Z-5 and i coat of Z-2. I ran out of time to do another one. But I did this last summer, and its still so smooth.
I really like the front of your car. Looks mean, in a good way

Z5, buff. Z6 all over. Z5, buff, Z6 all over. Top it off with Z8 and WOW.
Plus, doesn't take but 1-1.5 ounces to do the entire car!
On Super Black the Zaino looks amazing. I've got the Navy Blue Metallic and wow... the shine almost looks fake. Been using Zaino for years. While it's time consuming doing the layers (without the ZFX flash cure), the finish is optically clear.

That is what I noticed too!!! it takes so little to do the car. It was weird reading the label and them saying less is better!!! You don't get that very often. Z8 is yeah WOW! I used it once, didn't take pics, but i thought it was so shinny before, then i put that on. I had to have my sunglasses on at night
shameless reference to a great 80's song
Also check out their website. they have a silver z car pictured on there, that i didn't realize silver could look like that. It was so deep and glossy.

Also thanks for the tips on Zaino, I'll probably try it out sometime end of August when I'm waxing her up for the winter. That picture I commented on I didn't know was your car at first, I was like "why did he take a picture of his garage, what the hell?" That's the shine I want, damn.
I like Zaino as well - but my new favorite is Duragloss. Similar results - but less finicky and much more cost effective.
Certainly can't go wrong with either. I'd say Zaino leather conditioner is still probably my favorite.

Thanks man! Have to admit got most of my ideas from this forum, but definitely liked the way it all came together on my silver car.

Haha that is too funny. I too do my cars twice a year. its due for another shine here. We had a wreck so I had to postpone this year for a bit. I like the twice a year. Before winter and after winter. Gives me peace of mind i suppose.
Gizzdad, yeah i got this system for the leather cleaner and conditioner. its amazing stuff. i love the smell and it gives me the no gloss shine I wanted for my leather.
So I received one of those Meguiar's complete car care kits as a gift and finally decided to put it to use. I've only owned the car since November of 2010 so haven't had a chance to hand wash my Max yet, have been hitting up the touchless until now. I ran to Autozone and grabbed a Meguiar's claybar kit and went to town.
Detailed the rims and wheels using one of those sponge drill attachments (they ROCK), polished the wheels a few times as well with Meguiar's polish.
Washed the entire car using the car wash included with the kit, and toweled off a couple of the areas that had scratches on them.
Used some Meguiar's Scratch-X 2.0 on the lighter scratches, and don't get me wrong it didn't "remove" anything but it definitely reduced them in appearance significantly. I'll post up some before and after pics of some scratches soon, too dark for pictures now. Very impressed with the Scratch-X considering the cost. Went ahead and rinsed the whole car off and hand toweled it.
Broke out the claybar kit, used the Meguiar's quik mist detailer and went all over the car with the clay. I used it even in places where it felt smooth, and it came away feeling like glass. The clay starts out white but on the roof hood and trunk it came away light yellow/brown! And that's after a wash! Sorry, first time doing a claybar, really surprised by how much crap it takes off. Also, all the gunk near the ground on the car, the little black dots/yellowish dots from tree sap it erases them like pencil. Only one piece was barely used, although my arm is sore as hell, and I was able to do the entire car with very positive results.
Went ahead and rinsed the car again, hand towel dried and applied Meguiar's tech wax wax to the entire car, let it dry, and used a fine cloth to buff it all off. All I can say is...Damn. Meguiar's is the ****.

I share your pain with this issue and my Max is also white. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would assume we aren't the only ones with this problem.
I'm actually noticing now that many of the scratches that were hidden/covered up by this complete clean up job are starting to re-appear. I want to mention that the day after I did all this it rained and I saw white marks on my car that were easily wiped off. I'm guessing this was the wax washing back off the car? I know wax needs to cure, but for how long? I like this Meguiar's stuff, but it makes me want to try that instant-cure Zaino wax if it sounds like it all washed off.
