Question LED placement question for those that did their own demon eye mods.

For those that did this mod themselves, where is the best place in the projector to put the LEDs to avoid hotspots and get the best glow from all angles? I'm messing with my projector fogs right now before i move on to the actual headlights. It seems behind the cutoff works the best, but it's much dimmer at the cutoff level and above. Anywhere else i place it in the housing gives me either really bad hotspots, or only lights up part of the projector lens and only from certain angles. Any input you guys have would be appreciated!

Well i've been using single LEDs with inline resistors up to this point because i thought it'd be easiest. I found it's hard to mount the LEDs because of how the resistor is placed, especially in a tight space like a projector foglight housing. Just ordered a 12v LED strip that can be cut into segments. I'm hoping cutting them into strips of 3 and just applying them to the back of the cutoffs will work. We'll see.

I know KMoney worked on his himself, or at least worked on them with the guy he had do them. He should be able to help once he sees this thread.

You can't put the led inside the projector. It has to b mount outside of the projector. That's the only way to get the best light output n brightness

Hey Kmoney. I'm confused. Completely outside of the housing? How does the light shine into it if it's outside of it other than drilling a hole into the housing and just shining the light into it? I ordered the same projector fogs as you just without the angel eye CCFLs. Isn't it kind of hard to drill a hole that small into the metal housing?

EDIT: Just saw your 2nd post. Thanks man that'd be great.

To mount the led for the headlights, u will have to bake your headlights n take it apart. That's the only Way to put demon eyes on your headlights. Any other way u will get less light output

Yeah i know. I plan on bake/paint/demon eye on those later. Right now i'm just messing with the fog lights since they're about an eighth of the price if i screw them up heh.

KMoney any pics you can get during installation when you mess with the red/white ones would be awesome.

And if you wouldn't mind any pics of the headlight crack/reseal would be awesome too. If you have a beer fund I'll gladly donate
