Just updated my iPad to iOS 5 and one of the new features was supposed to be more info going out via bluetooth when playing audio. Well, it works! Finally we will see the artist, album and track info when streaming over bluetooth. No artwork as of yet and no increase in control. There is a new "menu" button but it is grayed out.. Not sure if that will become active. I am posting some iOS 4 & iOS 5 shots for those that are interested and will update as the Beta moves along to see if more is added.

When will Android do the same? Or is that a firmware update from Nissan? (If they even do that????)

 

My guess is it will be an android thing not Nissan since the iOS update is making it work with no change to the Nissan firmware.

 

Can u Bluetooth audio on 09 with firmware update??

 

Glad you;re happy v. I've been getting artist info over bluetooth using my Blackberry Torch for awhile now. Works very well. Sometimes doesn't start media right away and I get snippy little dropouts, but think it's more my phone's fault than Nissan's.

Will this work for the iphone 4 with ios5 software on it?

 

It should.. I have not updated my phone just yet as some of my apps do not work with iOS 5 just yet.. My testing was with an iPad2

No. This feature is only available on the '10 and '11 models.

I wish Google would hurry up and get its act together and put this feature in Android.
