Help removing trim

Ok I'm trying to get rid of that ugly wood trim that comes in the prem package maximas. So I'm wrapping it with carbon fiber vinyl. I got the pieces on the door done and looks great but now I have to figure out of to remove the trim that is by my shifter,cupholder,radio/climate controls and back seat cup holders. Anyone have a idea?

This is a diagram I found for the 7th gen Maxima... Looks like it's just clips to detach. I'd remove the shifter **** first tho... do it by pushing the shiny metallic rim at the base of the **** down. Then remove the small metal pin and the **** will slide right off the top.

From there you most likely (from the looks of the diagram) can unclip the pieces to replace/cover them.

Let us know how it turns out!

Everyone has different taste I guess. I have the factory carbon fibre looking trim and wish I had the wood grain.

I planned on stopping at the dealer today to see how much it cost to buy the wood looking pieces. On the old Max I did this but don't remember the cost.

That thought did cross my mind.

Mine is a 2011, SV,
Heated seats and steering wheel, I don't think they are cooled.
And I have the monitor package not Nav, so they may be the same? I dont know.

Any chance you think you can get your pieces off without breaking/scratching them?

Thoughts?

Bob

Cup you just pry it off with a flat head screwdriver....the part covering seat heat controls requires at lease loosening the center console so you can pull it back/out for easier accessibility and the radio part you have to pry the "hood" type piece surrounding your GPS screen which will reveal screws for removal making this possible.
