Navigation upgrade?
Navigation upgrade?
I have an '09 with the Nav. package. Has anybody gotten the newest navigation upgrade? If so, could you check out a couple things for me? Can you see if Henderson, KY and St. Louis, MO are listed in the cities when you go to create a route by city? Currently, according to my Max, there isn't a St. Louis Missouri...
I don't have any upgrade software, but my '11 has those cities in the mix.
Can't you upgrade through a dealer/cd? Under any warranty still? Kinda strange to be missing cities, I would think that might be fixable under some type of coverage...

Updating the '09 Maxima navi is different than updating the '10 and '11 Maxima navs.
For the '09, we need to go to www.navteq.com and order the latest update. They will charge us $99 plus tax, and email us an activation code, which we take to our dealer, who loads the newest data onto our nav.
Most dealers probably charge something to do this download, but my dealer did not charge me (I have had very good relations with him for sixteen years and through four Maximas).
EDIT - As additional info, Nissan sent out letters to owners of Maximas with navis back in January that tell us we can go to www.nissannavigation.com and order the latest 2011 maps for $149 plus dealer installation charges. I don't know if this letter means using the navteq site is no longer valid.
