Tintited Tails
yea, it's just the light/camera playing tricks. that picture of both is before I did anything to either of them
sprayed tint and clear...as you can see in 1 pic, I taped up part of the light. (So basically it's a 2 tone tint job but it all looks like one shade because of the differences in the way the spray tint works over different colors.) That can't be done when using tinting plastic unless you want to tint OVER the tape which I guess you could do but it would look like $hite when done

Yes, did what I could with a buffer 1st then finished my hand. I ran out of time when I had them off. Had to put them on and finish on the car which kinda sucks but oh well sometimes u just gotta do what u gotta do...

of course I sanded by hand
it only takes a little effort to get the orange peal out of the clear

it looks lighter in person but it seems the same in the pic because it only has one coat of tint and because the clear lens inside the light is reflecting more natural light back out. The red has two coats of tint and does not reflect as much natural light back through
Nice. Reason I ask is because I sanded/polished mine by hand and they looked like yours first few weeks (super glossy, glass-like reflection) but in a few spots look a little foggy now. I can polish it up and it'll shine for a few days but goes back to being foggy again. Should I just keep polishing the hell out of it and try a buffer?

In my opinion it can be seen and just having that strip brighter than the rest of the tails would annoy me. At least give it a slight tint (maybe one coat) to complete the job.
I agree go ahead and tint it with one coat so it matches, it definitely still outputs light and will be the quickest paint job you've ever done lol. its easy to take off and put back on
