I think it only looks that way because of the sun and glare.

sprayed tint and clear...as you can see in 1 pic, I taped up part of the light. (So basically it's a 2 tone tint job but it all looks like one shade because of the differences in the way the spray tint works over different colors.) That can't be done when using tinting plastic unless you want to tint OVER the tape which I guess you could do but it would look like $hite when done

of course I sanded by hand it only takes a little effort to get the orange peal out of the clear

it looks lighter in person but it seems the same in the pic because it only has one coat of tint and because the clear lens inside the light is reflecting more natural light back out. The red has two coats of tint and does not reflect as much natural light back through

Nice. Reason I ask is because I sanded/polished mine by hand and they looked like yours first few weeks (super glossy, glass-like reflection) but in a few spots look a little foggy now. I can polish it up and it'll shine for a few days but goes back to being foggy again. Should I just keep polishing the hell out of it and try a buffer?

when you polish, does the rag turn black or grey? just wondering if you have cut through the clear coat

I would definitely tint the third brake light as well but that's just me.

I don't see any point in messing with the 3rd brake light. You can hardly see it, it always seems to be in the shadows under the spoiler and it leaves a red light to the rear in case the po po wants to stop me.

In my opinion it can be seen and just having that strip brighter than the rest of the tails would annoy me. At least give it a slight tint (maybe one coat) to complete the job.

I agree go ahead and tint it with one coat so it matches, it definitely still outputs light and will be the quickest paint job you've ever done lol. its easy to take off and put back on

how long does it take to remove the tail lights? Do you have to drop the bumper cover?

it takes longer to tear the trunk apart to get to the lights than it takes to get the lights out. you don't have to do anything to the bumper just work inside the trunk.

it looks good, I believe I am going to do a red strip of transparent tint on the clear part of the taillight so it looks like a fully red taillight.

I installed 20% peel and cling tint on my tails lights. If a cop pulls me over, all I have to do is peel it off and cling it back on when I get home. But so far I hadn't been hassled thank god
