Protecting bumper and hood

Hey everyone! I have a black maxima and I have noticed some stone marks on the front bumper and was wondering on how to protect the bumper and hood from scratches and stone marks. I have seen the nose mask on the nissan site but I'm not sure about how it will look (anyone use one?)
what is another solution?
Thx!

I had a 3M clear bra installed for my front bumper, hood, mirrors, fenders and even the part behind the door handle.

However you'll want to get those stone chips fixed first. Dr. Colorchip is an awesome product and may fix your stone chips...

Thank you for the recommendation! Have u used the colorchip product yourself or seen it in person? Also did you install the 3G product yourself? Approx how much does that cost? And will it fade overtime? I have seen some before and sometimes where the product ends, dirt builds up and is noticeable...
What color max do you have?
Thx!

Yes I have used the Dr.ColorChip myself when I had my 09 Maxima White (Winter Frost) and filled in a couple chips on the rear quarter panel no one could tell and fact is I couldn't even locate when I had touched it up a year later. That car also had a clear bra and when I traded it in, it was immaculate the dealer was thrilled and paid top dollar for the car.

A clear bra will run you at least $250 in parts and at least that in labor if not more, the real secret is the installation and I wouldn't even think to take that on myself. I actually purchased my clear bra on eBay this last time (link below) and then had it professionally installed. I saved about $250.00 that way. This is the kit I purchased, it's perfect I just had my installer add the cups for the door handles. I have a Red (Tuscan Sun) Maxima now that I just purchased last month.

I forgot I also had the headlights covered as well by my installer.

If you want to install yourself here are some videos:

They make it look easy but don't be fooled - this is not for the amateur if you want your completed job to look good. You can look on the 3M to locate a good local installer. It's worth every penny to get the 3M brand other brands tend to yellow and crack.

BTW there is a Seller on ebay Nusolis, he sells these kits as well...i had it on my MB for close to 3 years before i sold it recently, his product was still as new.
I just installed the hood bra...and will complete full car clear bra install in the next few weekends

Wow... Great products, MaxLover... I wish there was a "thank you" button.

I'm going to buy the Dr.ColorChip... It looks promising; especially since my Maxima is just black.

And really??? $500 for installation and purchase of the 3M scotch mask!? Insanely expensive....

Wow, I live in Kuwait and checked to see how much it cost for the 3M clear film. I thought it was pretty expensive when they offered to do it for around $140, but I guess I'll go do it now that I know I'm not getting ripped off.

I had my black 350Z protected with the 3M shield. 3 years later, paint untouched and the dealer did offer top dollar. The hardest part for me was keeping the wax out of the edge of the shield that went across the middle of my hood. I did a trip from Chicago to Vegas a couple years ago and got caught in a snow storm in New Mexico (true!) DOT had only spread sand/gravel on 40...cracked my windshield, but the paint was protected by the shield Two thumbs up!!
