? on rim fitment...

Ok 1st of all I found this pic on the web. If its your car or a friends sorry for posting. Car looks really good and I want to maybe duplicate it. There!

So I was planning on going with Vossen CV1's in 20" but I swear I am seeing those rims every where on every type of car. And for the money they cost I don't want to "blend" in at a car meet. Right now I am on stock 18's. The Rays rims from the 370z look pretty good on the Max. If I lower the Max with some springs will it be possible to pull or roll the fenders enough to prevent them rubbing in the back. See pic. I think the offset in the back is pretty low.

All I see here, are different rims, different headlight bulbs and foglamp bulbs.

All black roof, as some older 7th gen models had. Aaaand, just a nicely done washing with high gloss wax and detail.

Snap a shot in the right angle and you get that beastly image

I'm not sure, I don't know if I'd drop it much, if any....

The max I'd go is about 1 - 2 inches, MAX. Especially if you have the built in splash guards, as I do, you risk the tire dragging against the body of the car.

I am, however considering puttin 20" rims on her... I think that would look just lovely.

if rolling the fenders doesnt work, i have heard of people having the hub of the wheel machined down to raise the offset.

Yes, you can roll the fender. You can also run a slightly narrower tire (slight stretch) than the stock Z (275) and go with like a 255 to bring the rubber back into the fender a bit more.

I have a set of these for my Maxima, too. I have the Hyper Silver FORGED set.

Does anybody here have 20s on their Maxima?

If so, were any adjustments needed to the body? I know calibration is necessary, but thats with any tire size increase/decrease.

Can you post a pic? I want to see the fitment. Are you lowered?

Those 370Z rims look awesome. I wouldn't mind upgrading if they weren't so damn expensive haha. Anyone out there looking to swap a set of mint 18" 2010 rims with tires for those 370Z rims......

Does anybody know the offset measurement on the Maxima stock 19" rims (ones on the SV sport package) ?

I'm looking at these:

Which are 19x8 (like ours) and have an offset of 35.

I just wanted to know if that mattered or made a difference; I don't want to have to buy new tires.

Offset won't effect the size of the tire. A lower offset will just mean the outside edge of the wheel will be further out from the hub. With a +35 offset, you shouldn't have to worry about getting the fenders rolled.

If you're looking at 19X8 aftermarket wheels, the stock 245 40R-19's will work just fine
