Staying off peoples' asses doesn't stop dump trucks with improperly closed gates from dropping stones that bounce all over the highway.

Obviously a car is going to get rock chips and such in the paint, but the Lexus IS300 I had with 125k on it didn't have nearly as many flaws in the paint as my Maxima that had the same mileage did.

Hell, even my '99 Trans Am I owned had fewer blemishes in the paint.

I had some issues with my 09 although they were minor all were resolved by the dealer and that car was super reliable and got 22 MPG on my daily commute. My 2011 was PERFECT so they really did some minor improvements in the quality from the 09/10 model years IMHO.

My new G37s is brilliant!

This when the 7th gen first caught my eye:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvYrIew0OcE&sns=em

I test drove a 2011 Crimson Black loaded and immediately fell in lust with it. I ended up getting a 2010 Super Black SV with 6500 miles on it. Only thing I don't like about it is that they didn't put 350 ponies in it!

Love the engine and the interior. I like all of the "little" things like the auto up/down feature for all windows, the way the side mirrors angle down when in reverse, and the paddle shifters.

the only thing that sucks about that video, is he somehow stretched those beautiful 19" Rays instead stock Maxima rims. I'd have kept the Rays lol

I bought a brand new Black IS300 in November of '03. At 15,000 miles you wouldve thought someone used the front of my car as target practice. Lexus claimed they use a "soft paint". I've never had this problem with any other car and that was with minimal highway mileage. I've never had any problem with Nissan as of yet and I'm on my second one.

I love everything about my maxima from how it drives to how it looks. I love that when I step on it, it responds I test drove an Audi A4 and I stepped on it down to the floor and it felt like a pu***. I have an exhaust so everytime i stepped on it you can hear the beast coming. Prior to the Maxima I had an RSX, Titan, and Ridgline. I am not gonna lie though I miss my titan.

I traded in my 2010 Buick Enclave for my 2011 Maxima. I'mm 66 y/o and love this car. Had a Murano before the Enclave and never should have bought the Buick. I wanted to be an American. (still am, and proud of it!) I LOVE the transmission! Love the looks, love the handling, and love the power. I couldn't be happier.

We were dreaming about an Enclave but the price was up there... I really like the new direction of Buick... I do love the max though...

I have a 3 month old, Super Black SV with Sport Package and overall I am very happy with it. Blacked out chrome, tinted head and tails, ichiba spacers, and Stillen front spoiler.

Hate that last week a guy ran a red light and with 2k on the clock I need a new front driver quarter panel, bumper and headlight.

Other than that...all is good. I came from a 2008 Mazda RX8 and a 2008 G35S - I'm a Nissan/Infiniti guy now. Just purchased a 2012 FX35 last Saturday.

People can complain, but I'm in a Merc C300 rental, and I much prefer my Maxima.

I have had my 2011 Max for around a year now and here is what I love.

The power. I have smoked many BMWs 3 and 5 series at stoplights plus a neighbor that swore he could beat me in his Chrysler Crossfire (snicker). BTW, I smoked him and it wasn't even close. I kept the car in S mode and embarrassed him.

The seats are just amazing.

The handling is just fantastic for a 4 door sedan.

I still love the way this car looks coming or going after almost a year of ownership.

The only downside is, I have a small squeak that I have isolated emitting from the sunroof when my sunroof shade is not deployed.

Other than that, after 9,300 miles, this is just a great car for the money. IMO.

Comming from a 96 Chevy Impala SS.. I love this car to death but it had problems time to time (American car, what u expect)... so it was time for me to get a new car... i was looking for a 4 door sport car with style (like my Impala SS.... i hate 2 doors).. almost got a Charger but its played out.. I see thousands of those in the street everyday plus Dodge isnt reliable so i pass on that one.. need something unique that no one else drives... when i saw a Maxima.. i fell in love with it and all the features and got it.. VERY HAPPY

I have my Max debadged. I love it because people will ask me "is that a Lexus?" The styling and presence is what I like.

Maxima is an overall great car. Has the power, looks, and if you get the nice options like heated steering and the Double sunroof, I mean what else you want. CVT just needs getting used to but the cool thing about is that there is absolutely no lag and power is at the foot at all times...

I have had mine almost a week and so far am extremely happy. Light years ahead of my 02 GLE I used to have. My only issue is trying to keep it near the speed limit... The car just wants to accelerate... lol I am a big guy and am very comfortable in the car. The car definitely feels more refined than some of its competition. I never was like, wow, I need to own one of those maximas, they are sick but after actually having it, I cant stop wanting to drive it. Driving it makes you want it more. Much better driving car then the CTS I almost bought or the Passat. Plus I did the math, even with premium at 11000 miles per year I am saving nearly $90 per month in fuel vs my Armada I traded for her.

I love my 2011 Maxima SV. I use to drive a 2007 ford Mustang. I got the maxima cause I have another child on the way. I must thank god for my child because this car drives like a dream and the way people look at is like that is a boss car. LOL. I already have a 2010 Nissan Murano for my wife. So I am Nissan all the way. Only thing I don't like about my car is that I should spent a lil more money for the monitor insteand of the basic radio. I haven't seen many people changing the radio out. But I still love it.

We test drove a few cars in the 32K to 45K price range when it came time to replace my wife's 03 Monte Carlo (which had been an awesome, dependable car) and none of them had the look, feel or the options that the Maxima did with the Sport package. Not for $34K out the door anyway. The car has only 210 miles on it so really can't comment on the reliability. I do love to wax it though. I have removed the dealer sticker and the Maxima emblem which really cleaned up the back. The only custom change I plan is the Stillen Lip Spoiler. I think it adds a lot.

Funny thing is - I always loved that commercial but when we looked at the Maxima at the dealer I didn't connect the car with the commercial at all. It wasn't until after we had bought it and it was out in the garage that I saw it on TV again and told my wife "hey that's the exact car we bought". Color and all. DUHHHH!

i have loved all my maxima's 91, 96, 98 and now 09.. all the power and refinement of an affordable "sports sedan" has always got me. back when i got my 91 Se in 2001 it had standard features that cars of that day didnt have or were expensive options. I will admit they cheaped out a bit on 4th gens, but still an awesome car..so much i had to have 2 of them. now i love my 7th gen. To me at least it feels like a more expensive refined car than what it is, but thats me

I was hooked on the interior, the fact its a four door (my first four door) and its decent power. I've been driving an '89 Supra for the last 10 or so years, and with my kids now pushing 6'-0 tall, it was time to get something a bit easier to get in and out of. Not to mention a usable back seat.

When I feel the need for speed, I back the Supra out of the garage and take it for a spin.....

Bought a 2009 SV a week ago. Super Black, fully loaded, Premium Package, all the goodies. Test drove a 330i, an IS250, and a CTS. IMO, the MAxima is FAR more car for the money. Hell, sometimes I go out to the garage and stare at that glass roof, can't help myself. The drive is incredible, the interior is beautiful, and the car just looks so good whether looking from the outside or over the dash at that hood. We are seriously considering purchasing another, as my wife and I need two cars and currently fight over the Maxima. Negatives? Premium fuel, MPG, potential ownership cost. But that is clearly outweighed by the performace, appearance, build quality, etc, etc. I love that car....

I will often times mix 89 (at around half tank) and 91 octane with no issues. I will never water down with straight 87 --- unless I'm in a one horse desert town and it's the only option for the next 300 miles.

Yep got pretty much the same car, I love the Crismon Black and really have had no complaints except for the cheesy motorcycle battery that Nissan installed. It was replaced with a proper car battery.
I hear a lot of talk about the fact this engine only produces around 290HP.
This car has a excellant engine, very powerful.
People often say it only has 290hp and wish it came with 300hp.
If the car had 300hp then the the complaint would be that it should have 330hp, and so-on, and so-on....you probably know where I'm going with this.
It car is what it is. And by the constant compliments I receive, It does just fine by my book.

I am a research nut and with the current residual values, especially when leasing, there is no other car in its category for the price. I am paying $370/mth no money out of pocket everything rolled in Premium SV w/Tech 12k/year including 3 yr maintenance and nothing could come close for that price. Thats a $42k car. The loaded Passat V6 with everything except nav for with a sticker of 35k was in high 4's low 5's... The CTS with the small V6 AWD (which was something I really wanted) with alot less options than the max, $425....

Best bang for the buck...

Much like Light on a Hill, I have been a faithful Nissan owner since 1987. During that time I have owned eight Maximas and my wife has had two Pathfinders and a 350Z. We have never had any issues. When it comes time to replace my cars (I now lease them due to a work incentive) my wife doesn't ask what kind of car I am getting; rather she just asks "What color?"
