It wasnt like this when I found it last night. It was in pieces, I found the housing (the back piece) about 15 feet away from the car, but couldnt find the light at all.

Im thinking someone really wanted that damn light and jacked my ****.

 

That's messed up. People will steal just about anything nowadays. Try to keep you car inside the garage as much as possible.

 

I was out last night when this happened. Its usually parked in the garage when im home or not using it.

But I was parked on a busy street, so i was surprised when I saw that

 

Wow. Poor people these days. It's probably somebody who has a 7th gen that tired to modd his/her turn signals but failed at it.

Don't worry man. Your not the only one. I had the same experience with my 1995 Nissan Altima. Somebody tried to steal my driver side rear view mirror. BUT failed at stealing it because I found the mirror shattered under my driver side door. I tried the dealer but was too expensive for me. So I went to a local junk yard and found a housing that only cost me $50...

nice, yea i have to hit up the junk yard...but my concern is for the painted parts which need to be replaced.

i dont want to have to paint one because im certain the color will be off and i will be furious.

 

Well if I was in your position, I'd to the dealer to get the right painted parts. This avoids more headaches. Also your car is still brand new so you want the best things for your car right?

 

obviously, unless you get an OEM painted Housing its gonna look off.

Damn, living in NY definitely has it's issues. I have had or seen so many small items stolen from various vehicles. Specially if you live near a junk yard. Those bastards will sell it right back to you. I have seen countless side view mirror glass stolen, grilles, headlights, emblems, Wheels/rims, and now LED signals. It's whatever is a quick grab and go. Damn shame!

 

It's probably someone whose 7th gen drivers side mirror light stopped working, due to moisture like mine. I'm having mine replaced under warranty though!

They're definitely LED too.

took 2 weeks for nissan to get me a F***ing mirror

 

damn! i was gonna ask if you wanted to sell me that housing, but im assuming by your post you ended up getting a mirror.

I called Nissan, they said I have to buy the whole mirror assembly, they dont sell individual parts of the housing.

On top of all that, they said I have to pay $100 extra to get it painted.

 

This is the same thing that happened to my '95 Altima!!! Of all the cars in the lot, why yours? That's it, this photo convinced me to install a taser force field.

 

Try to butter up the sales manager. That's what I did.I bought a spoiler ($340) from the dealer and installation was separate: $225 . I made a deal with the sales manager: free installation in exchange for lunch. Thought I was joking but I was serious. Well... the $225 install became a $ 8 lunch at Wendy's

2 days later i see a white 7th gen in the lot with a busted drivers side housing but...wait for it...it had a nice mirror on it...mine!

so when i saw the owner i confronted them and they said they were just "borrowing" mine until she fixed her mirror...yup had me me in total shock...i said now you owe me $46 bucks or i'm calling the cops now...i had 4 ppl with me that heard them say it....so she ended up giving me the money.

 

Omg!! Are you serious!!! Where does that happen?!?!

 

WOW people these days.... If I was there, I would of went off on them. I would of made fun of them. You should of said $500.00 for a new housing Did you get a new separate mirror cause when my 1995 Altima's driver side mirror was stolen, I couldn't obtain just the mirror. I had to get the whole housing.
