2011 Maxima headliner noises
So the 11 SV sport I got had a bit of noise that was coming from above my left ear. Finally got it into the dealer to have them look at it. It Turns out that it was not the headliner but it was the sun roof rail that was loose. The real was hitting the phone which in turn was hitting the headliner making me think the headliner was loose. They were going to put additional phone in to buffer it but instead just reclipping the rail worked!

and by "real" do you mean rail?
I had a similar thing happen to me, the dealer said the frame to the moonroof was cracked. They replaced it under warranty. Now, about 10K miles later (not under warranty anymore
) it is making a similar sound, not the same. I think it is loose not broken. When the weather warms up I am gonna drop the entire headliner and take a look around. I'll post another write up of the procedure.
I feel for yall I have had multiple headliner / sunroof / rattle issues and every time the dealer has worked on it, it has only gotten worse. Goodluck!
To note, Car and Driver had an Infiniti M for a long term test and had constant sunroof/headliner/rattle issues that the dealer never fixed... so this is just Nissan
