20's or 22's

Hello Everyone,
My name is Stephanie, and I am new to the whole forum process. Ive owned my 09 Maxima for about a yr now, and I was thinking about blinging out the appearance a little bit. I dont know a lot about cars, and I really dont have anyone to help me with information Im needing. So here is the Big Question.... As far as which will not hurt the car in anyway, which set of rims are a better fit for a Maxima, 20' inch rims or 22's?! Ive heard alot of people say, that rims start to hurt the car after a while, and I dont want that to happen to my Lil Mama, so what size would everyone suggest I get? Any and All information will help, thanks for your time!

I don't have wheels on my maxima right now but i would go with a nice set of 20's and a small drop. Others have said that 22's are a bit much for this car.

geez... no one even tried to answer your question.

Adding wheels doesn't necessarily "hurt" your car. The larger the wheel and thus smaller tire you'll notice a difference in ride quality = less rubber on the road to absorb the bumps, ruts, etc. means you'll feel it more when driving.

If you lower the car by replacing your stock springs with aftermarket springs or coil overs it may put added stress/wear & tear on the suspension components that will eventually need to be replaced or upgraded to match the new springs.

As far as adding "bling" you'll get different opinions on here. People like myself don't like the big chrome "bling" wheels, but other may. Go talk to some local shops and then if you have more questions feel free to post and hopefully someone will be able to provide you with some help.

Thanks everyone for the info!!! I guess the only reason Im debating about gettings the 22's would be because Im one of those pedal to the medal type of gals.. Im so used to my car, I can swerve in and out of traffic, and I know the bigger the rims get the less Ill be able to do so. Im also not a big bling person but I just feel its time to upgrade my Lil Mama a little bit.. I think I just might be pushing for 20's a little bit more because I live in Dallas, and everyone steals cars for a living. lol, not really, but really. What are some other features thats can be added to a Maxima to enhance the appearance?!
