I saw there's a new x9 navigation update DVD out. Can someone buy it then use it then sell it for someone else to use it? Or doesn't become invalid after first use?

Making a leap, the nav unit is similiar to the g's nav unit. You get a 5 disc set, of which the discs are standard DVDs. The first disc is a firmware update and doesn't require a license key.

The remainder of the discs, must be installed using the supplied license key, which is provided when you order the update. When ordering online, you must give your nav unit serial number, which is located on one of the screens. As the order is processed your unique serial number is both emailed and printed on your order.

The firmware update discs, I believe can be shared. But the map update discs cannot because a serial number is needed for installation.
