Clear Bra

Im about to order the 3M clear bra for my car and install it myself since it would only be 249.95 instead of what a tint shop is trying to charge me which is 550 dollars... anybody ever do it? was it easy or hard?

Never tried it..But I have a few guys who would charge you maybe lower. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Let me know how it goes, because I want one after I touch up my bumper

good point...im not big on taking my car to a shop to get it worked on since i know what im doing myself...it takes all the fun out of owning the car...i will be extra careful to read all the directions that 3M gives so i dont mess anything up

dish soap and water mixture in a spray bottle and some sort of small squeegee or hard plastic will help make life easier.

We had a contractor come out to install the 3M clear bra's at the high end dealership I used to work at. It would take anywhere from a few hours or more to do it. You need time and patience. Also, they will hold up better if your front end is free from any flaws in the paint from rock chips, bug damage, road rash, etc. Our installer wouldn't do a car if there was too many flaws since he couldn't warranty it.
