I will update once it's installed. Will have to wait 2 weeks though cause I'm going on vacation next week. Can't wait. I've been wanting this since the day I bought the Max, just got around to it. Gonna sound great hopefully with the Takeda intake. Borla is the best in the biz IMO.

I got it from Amazon, it was $870. I had a $200 gift card for there so it was $670 for me, that's why I bought it there but it's the cheapest still you'll find anywhere.

I will do a ypipe next, is it a complete must? I have an intake and i've heard there's not much sound difference if any with a ypipe.I will do it later this spring, maybe summer if it's a neccesity. I'll see how I like the catback. Btw, i'm not looking for loudness, I hear this sounds great when you want it to, but close to normal when you don't.

You're the one who sent the price up lol. I have had it my cart for about 10 months checking the price. It was down to $650 back in August, dropped every week for a while, then someone bought it and the price jumped to $870. Then last week someone, I am guessing you, bought another and it jumped again to $1012.

I thought about buying it when it was $650, I guess I was hoping no one else was looking at it and the price would drop another $100 or so, but at the time I just couldn't justify it.

Anyways sorry for the meaningless rant, but congratulations. Post some installed pics.

Get some liquid wrench and start spraying the bolts holding on your OEM exhaust now. I sprayed mine once a day for a couple days before getting my Borla installed and we could get most of the bolts out, 1 needed to be cut out though due to corrosion..

Thanks, I jacked my car up yesterday ready to do it, sprayed WD40 on all the bolts and nothing. I gave up. My mechanic will install it for $75. I'll take it to him next week.

Put a torch to it, heat them up till they get cherry red and put a socket on it and they'll twist right off, worst thing that can happen is they snap, which in my opinion is better, lot less work.

the price goes up with each unit sold?? wtf is borla thinking even 650 is at the steep end when a custom setup would be half that maybe

It's ok, im not looking for a bargain, I just want the best name in the business. I don't mind paying for it. I'm sure I can find everything I use in my daily life cheaper but you get what you pay for.

it is amazon's pricing scheme. I would imagine they have a floor and ceiling, then a computer randomly generates the prices based upon any number of variables. It must take into account prior purchases. I know that no one really buys them because it says "1,2,3...whatever...left in stock. More on the way" When it was at 3 it was dropping, then it went up and changed to two. Now it went up again and it is at 1 left in stock. Not all item prices are as volatile as this apparently. But hopefully it will go back down. The downfall is, as more people pay attention to this the harder it is to wait.

Borla is expensive to begin with, it has quality materials and construction and a million mile warranty. You get what you pay for sometimes. Most of those corner exhaust shops use as cheap of stuff as possible. They might offer better mufflers, but all of the pipes are universal fit and probably not stainless and/or ceramic coated. It will get rusty quick. The nicer exhaust systems will discolor but usually not rust so quickly. To each his own.
