You have an aluminum hood as it is. Minor weight savings and not enough to off-set the cost$$. I'm not that flush with cash to do it for looks only.

You 7th gen owners can be so cheap sometimes. $600 isn't bad for a CF hood for a "newer" car. I figured it would be more.

Has nothing to do with being cheap. As it is I have a perfectly good hood. Now if it were munched in an accident I may entertain a CF as a replacement.

I agree..if my hood was terribly scratched or I got into a accident, I would buy the carbon fiber hood no questions asked

Nothing wrong with CF, but its out of place on a 7th Gen IMO.

i dont think this is a mod that we should do to our maxima's we don't need to rice it out its to nice of a car and i have mine modded to the max and wouldn't think that it would look good.

we all have our own opinions correct? well, i understand that our maxima's our in between luxury and sporty so like i said where do we draw the line? I honestly think that it'll look nice on a White maxima maybe black? we talk about dropping cars exhaust, turbo's, Ypipes, engine performance ect.. after all it is considered a 4 door sports car. So the question is will it look like we took it to far or maybe we just have now limitations to what we wanna do to our own cars! some people like the idea some dont its all G00D! ive well over ten grand in my max and i gotta say my 7th gen is sitting real pretty right now.. i started this thread by asking if anyone has ever done it before i guess that i got my answer. oh well we'll see what happens peace..

IMO, on the 7th gen maxima think its looks good but at the same time the stock hood is pretty light. On the real how much are you saving in weight? I'm not huge on CF but think I would have to consider not just the look of CF but the functionality on cutting weight for the price I'd be paying.

As mentioned earlier it's not about being cheap, IMO

I think its more for looks especially since the weight difference isnt all that dramatic.

Just wondering: what performace mods?
there isnt really anything out there that would be "realistically" considered a performance mod

I can't tell you what I am doing my car..that would be no fun. FTrecord, I have beaten a G35x from a 40 dig..multiple times. Although, I don't condone any form of racing unless on a track.

And idc about the sound of my car. I know I have a sport sedan and I am happy with it. My next car that I am buying will be for fun.

Curious what is that you have you done to your car? If you got a sc then I am not sure if the tranny can handle that... If you got turbo, you might need a duffle rent computer ... Intake pulley and exhaust isn't going to make the car any faster

I never even argued. I merely said I beat a g35x. Plain, yet simple.
