Eibach Pro conversion

Guys, Tirerack has the front/back set for an '12 SV (non-sport) for $250 plus shipping. Is this all I need? They also offer an extra alignment kit, but not sure if this is needed.

Do you suggest any other sources for the parts?

Edit: sorry for my complete lack of knowledge on this topic, but I just read that coilovers can be adjusted up and down. Would this be a better option? (I hope somebody is not going to say "hey dummy, Eibach is a coilover)

Eibachs are just aftermarket springs that will give you the same setup as factory, but just lower.

Coilovers replace the springs and struts in the car and can be fully customizable in height and softness of the ride.

Which one want almost depends on the setup you are going for and what you are trying to spend.

Gotcha, thanks. The lowering is my main goal. According to the shop, the springs can be used with the stock shocks with no problem (I hope that is true). Installation alone would be $450 for just the new springs. Ouch.

In an alternate universe, I would be handy enough to do my own work.

check out my DIY on the eibach springs. look at the install and you will find that it is very easy and you can do it with tools in the garage. you will need a spring compressor from autozone that you can use for a $40 deposit that they will give back after you return there merchandise

Definitely! I read through the DIY and it scares me a little. Whenever spring compressor comes into play, I get nervous.

That's what i thought. I called several shops in my area, and they all quoted 4 hours labor plus another $100 for an alignment.

I was strapped for time, but not strapped for cash. Picked up Eibachs for 150 and installed them for 200. Looks really nice on my car. The handling is pretty awesome too!

No, No No. I bought them off one of my boys who had them for only 300 miles. It lower then some of the other maximas using the same kit, which is interesting. I am def digging them though. I believe You can google shop these and some come up for like 225.

Was it cut or something? Cause I have springs and they were a good height like Ghozt's Max. Unfortunately, I drove over a really bad pot hole with 5 people in the back last week and I think my suspension got damaged... Before I went to Nissan, my boy remove my Eibach before going to Puerto Rico. I had a Nissan tech drive my car and he said it was jumpy so they are replacing the right side for free LOL. Funny thing is they blamed my after-market wheels but I told them I've never heard of that before. My suggestion is don't have more than 4 people in the back and avoid potholes.... Don't end up like me. If you do, just replace back your old springs and Nissan wouldn't know what hit them My problem is I have to wait for Nissan for parts and I don't know how long that will take...

Oh damn that's crazy. No, I don't have others in my car, I don't like being responsible for others. They didn't look cut to me. They fly as hell though. Idk if Hell is fly...but you know

They make after-market shocks? I didn't know that thanks Ghozt... Well if Nissan takes too long with this, then might as well go after-market and spend a good pair of shocks. Even with the stock springs, my car rides kinda nasty. It jerks up even with the slightest bump -________- I learn my lesson LOL

I bought some KYB's from PartsGeek.com. I was ready to put them on with my Eibachs and they didn't fit at all..if anybody got some front Struts from PartsGeek.com and they worked what was your part number. I just sent mine back after I got the RMA from them. I need to replace my front struts, I am rolling with 122,613 miles on my 09 SV.

I have an extra pair of front struts, Idk if the guy is gonna be happy about me selling them! I forgot to mention, the creaking noise that I once faced for so long, and annoying - It has been finally fixed due to the Eibach Pro Kit. I don't wanna jynx it, but i am quite happy!

122k?! Man, you been doing some serious driving with your max. Have you had any major issues at the higher miles?
