What can be added to add performance but not void my warranty?

Hey everyone. I did some searching around the forums for things I can add, but not void my warranty. I was able to find lots of items, but very few things that would for sure not void the warranty. I'm looking at a bolt on exhaust and cold air intake, but I have no idea what else would be good. I don't have much experience with fast cars since I'm a recent chevy convert. Any ideas?

You could go with an aftermarket exhaust and it will increase performance, but not to any extremes. Cold air intakes are a myth and they do not increase power. You can search "cold air intake myth" on youtube and they will prove it to you.

Personally, you can do any type of dynamic upgrade (reversible), and run the car, if any problems, remove the upgrade and take it into the dealer. What they don't know don't hurt you!

^ no idea what this guy is talking about regarding Cold Air Intakes. I'd trust dyno pulls that have proven they provide gains as opposed to a Youtube search...the only real issue is nobody makes a true CAI for the 7th gen they're all short ram intakes advertised as CAI.

It all depends on your dealership. Some will jerk you around if they think you're dumb about cars and will try to deny you brake work because of an exhaust (yes, a shop tried that with another member). Basically they have to prove in a court of law that your part caused the problem to deny you warranty.

The Magnuson Moss Warranty act is your best friend as a modder - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuso...s_Warranty_Act

Yup Ghozt is 100% right they have to be able to prove what you did aftermarket caused the problem not just say it did it but actually prove it.

This is where Ford has been killing it. You can install one of their FRPP S/C kits on a new 5.0 and its under factory warranty
