Questions:springs, coilovers, and shocks??

So i have a couple questions about suspension in general, and I know i can get some straight answers here. I'm thinking about lowering my car in the next 6 months, and wanted to ask some questions. I know its either springs (eibachs) vs coilovers ( bc or megan). My questions are for people who have had either of these on their cars for over 6 months. How are they holding up, and have you experienced any premature failings of other suspension parts?? My second question is if coilovers are replacement shocks and springs together, what happens when the shock part fails?? do you have to replace the entire coilover?? what would sport shocks do for a vehicle without coilovers or springs?? Thanks in advance.

Well, this is what I can tell you right now. First it depepnds how low you want to go and two, which state do you live in?

I had the Eibach Springs, the car handled better I felt it right away and obviously looked better! When I got my BC Coil's my car just became the corner Godzilla xD j/k it's not a GT-R . I felt much lower to the ground because I lowered it more than the Springs I had and the Handling just became superior. Definetly worht it to buy the Coil's BC are the way to go in my opinion because my friend has them I have them as well... until December then I'm selling them because I'm getting rid of my car. Idk about Megan, all of my friends have BC's so far no issue's.

As for if your coil's go I think you need to replace the whole thing... I'm not sure.
