Hello - NYC

Hello all.

Just picked up a 2012 Nissan Maxima SV with the Premium and Tech package.

Been lurking here for about a week and decided to register. I'm sure I will be coming up with some questions along the way.

I upgraded from a 2003 Altima 3.5 SE that had seen better days. It wasn't properly maintained and after 75,000 miles it was starting to require service that I wasn't willing to invest in (timing chain, etc). The thought for me now is to set a specific schedule of to-do's going forward so that this will not happen again. (I've "found religion" and have become a "task-guy", setting recurring tasks to help me remember important things).

I just ordered the WeatherTech floor mats and hope to have them on my doorstep shortly. I'm also considering installing the trunk and window spoiler to give the car a slightly different look (this car is fairly popular in my area).

I will save any specific questions for separate threads.

Thanks in advance all,
GB

Welcome to Maxima.org

Where in NYC are you located? My g/f is from Staten Island. We went up there last year for vacation, and it was my first visit to NYC. Fun place.

Ya picked mine up last Thursday after having them install a rear wing spoiler. These cars just look better that way. Also installed the rear roof spoiler which I also think dresses up the car as well. I had the Nissan dealer I bought the car from order me a delete plate for the 3rd brake light as I want that removed and looks better once I get the windows tinted.

Delete plate? Does that cover the light (mount between the housing and the window) or cover the hole it would leave if you removed the housing from the rear deck of the car?
