Side view mirror problem

Im having a problem with my side view mirror on the drivers side. When I reverse the mirror goes down like its supposed to but when I put it in Park the mirror doesnt go back up but the passenger side one does. I hope its not a motor issue. Any solutions guys?

Sounds to me like the motor has died going one way..
I just had both of mine replaced, the left one the lights quit and the other was a good will warranty for condensation in it... $409.00 + labor... just shy of 1 grand... thanks for warranties...

I've got a premium and both mirrors move. As long as the selector switch for L/R isn't in the middle position (not on L OR R).

2011 SV Sport/Tech - both of my mirrors go up and down.

Both of my mirrors go up and down too, mine is the premium tech version.

But, there have been times after a car wash when the passenger side mirror has trouble going down, as if something is stuck, so it will jerk in place trying to go down, but never actually does.

To fix it, I just moved the mirror side to side on my own and it seemed to have fixed it. But the problem comes back almost every time after a car wash.

yea i just tested my driver side, it does nothing. i moved it around a bit, then shifted to reverse and it re-centered itself left to right but didnt move up/down at all. looks like mine has never worked and i never knew lol. im guessing this is a whole side mirror replacement? not TOO Bad, only about $100 for a new oem side mirror with heat/etc. part of me doesnt care though lol
