they're great - nice 1.5" drop roughly in both front and back to get rid of that ugly fender gap. the quality of ride was the same as the OEM sport suspension, i was surprised

Order my Eibachs yesterday and will install myself. Wanted H&R's but they only exist as a part number.
I plan to use an inclinometer as a baseline measurement. After install again for the camber difference.
Same thing for spacers if and when installed, with aftermarket rear adjustment.
If it drives crappy and indicates tire wear then I'll pay for an alignment.

They move the wheel and tire out for a more flush appearance to the fender.

I'm a newbie on here and just bought a 2012 limited edition. I am going to put some eibachs on it and am going to keep the black 18's. What size spacers do u think I should install?

a lot of users have used eibachs without an aligment and had no problems.

You may want to save yourself the money and just change the springs.

Eibach with the right fitting 20" wheel can be a very pleasing sight.

BB does have a point, larger wheels (with the correct off-set) do look great. But having to also buy new tires on top of that can become cost prohibitive for many of us.
I still like the 18/19" stock wheels myself. Also less weight/rotating mass.

Eibachs on order......................
I will agree only because I hate the lack of control especially while punching it passing another (slower) car. My max (premium) is way too floaty.
I don't feel I have the control when I need it at speed when the road has a lot of dips and sharp corners. The front end just lifts too much under acceleration..
New tires will help but are a ways out.....I can't wait.

Depends. You don't need to install any spacers.
Just get the drop first and see if you like it the way it is?
If you do want to go with spacers you should try to understand and measure what you have from the outer most part of the tire to the outer fender surface*. With the car on level ground I used a 36 inch carpenters level to obtain plumb and then used a scale to measure the difference B/T the tire and fender.
From that figure what thickness you think you need from a spacer, it's all a personal preference.

*With just a spring drop you should not have to worry about the tire rubbing the inner fender edge unless you go crazy on very thick spacers.

Didn't do the Alignment yet..Rides nicely. I Seem to scrape my whole bottom on certain driveways..my exhaust tips take a beating. But it definitely rides nice. No complaints besides that. Oh I am going for my wheel alignment after getting new tires..makes sense to me atleast.

Thanks for all the comments. I totally agree with dr_2010SV, It feels like you don't have control when your are passing at speeds above 50 mph. I'll get them next and get back to you guys with my feedback.

Had my eibachs on for a few weeks. Now and love it... Immediately felt like this is the way car should have come. I have added the Stillen Front Strut Tower Bar(FSTB, that was for the newbies in case they were wondering) and the Stillen rear sway bar... The rear sway bar was the biggest compliment to the Eibachs more so than the FSTB, I noticed improvement with the addition of each. FSTB was first, then Eibachs, then sway bar... I am happy till I get my coilovers.

^ Yep.
OK, so my first and main concern was ride quality going from the stock premium ride to Eibachs.
Drove the wife around town today dropped her off and picked her up....blah, blah blah, and didn't get one single "what the hell did you do to the car" comment and she knew I was in the garage changing the springs out last night.
If you are contemplating doing this mod just do it (unless you want coils) the ride quality is almost the same as stock with all the benefits of better handling.
Without spacers installed (yet) the car doesn't seem like it needs an alignment as it drives just as it did before the spring swap. Best bang for the buck performance upgrade IMOP. Total cost to me was $280.00 springs and install.

I'm being quoted $500-$800 for installation ONLY!! Does this seem right? What are you guys paying to get the eibach pro kit installed.

I got quoted $100 per corner + another $100 for alignment. I checked 3 different local shops and they were all in the same ballpark. Must be one of those cases where they look up the book time, regardless of actual time.
I hate that.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The place I wanted to use wasn't so bad on the install price ($120.00). It was the fact that they wouldn't install the springs I bought as they wanted to gouge me like $340.00 for ordering the springs through them, quite a little rip-off operation so I just installed them myself and $aved.
One thing you could consider is Tire Rack. They will list local installers in your area. Just go on-line a see what they charge, if you haven't already done so.

I worked at a K-Mart with an auto center back in the day (don't laugh). The service manager would cut me a break on work I needed here and there, but he was very fond of the saying - You don't bring the steak to the restaurant!

One of the shops I checked with was actually the local Tirerack-approved installer. I was going to prowl the local hole-in-the-wall shops to see what they can offer.

I remember my dad taking our Datsun B-210's (a 2fer deal) into the local K-mart auto center for tires and such, nothing wrong with that. Good luck on your search.

I'm looking at buying a set of eibachs from someone here on the org, if I can get the installation for under $100 I'll be $300 into it total. Sound like a fair price?

I bought Eibach springs here awhile back for $200. Originally it was $215 but I told the OP that I'll get it for $200 cash today out of his hands. He agreed. Installation isn't that hard. My boy charged me $100 plus I help. Helping him got me to know my Max better In the 7th gen facebook group, I know someone selling their Eibach springs for $190 plus shipping I think...

Don't get them, the ride is so stiff my back hurts after a day of driving my car. Handling is significantly better over stock, but unless you are a racer I suggest getting the most comfortable lowering springs. It's not worth it

That is a concern I have, definitely. But there are enough glowing reviews here that I'd install them (for the right price). I know the handling will improve, but comfort is a huge factor. So if STOCK ride comfort is a 10/10, what is it after eibachs? 8/10? 3/10? I'd love several people's input.

I have a 2010 premium (not an 96 I30) and it's not less than an 8/10 with the springs still settling in. Some here may even say 9/10.

I'd rate the Eibach springs 8/10... for me its good. If only I lived in a flat state, I'd get coils and slam my Max as my daily...

are u sure ? You don't own a a35 so maybe your assuming.

I can't imagine eibach would put out a product that resulted in anything too far from oem stock feel.

Ah yes I forget you all don't have a car that's from 96 and with a billion miles...well you will definitely feel the stiffness. I guess it's also because my seats are shot so I feel everything on the road.

I still suggest going for the most comfy springs

imo the eibachs ride quality felt almost the same as the stock sport springs, i was very pleased cause i didnt want a rough ride that'd make it suck to ride in the car

I'll agree with Ghozt on this one. The ride is pretty much almost the same as the stock sport springs. The handling seems a bit better..you just have to watch out for minor things such as speed bumps..and driveways..curbs..etc etc. Overall nice ride..

As for price. Every Shop in my area quoted my 100 a corner to 150 a corner. My friend played it off at one of the shops he goes too and said it was his car..and they did it for $150.00 on all 4. Now, that's what we call sneaky. I even picked up the car "for him" hahahaha. They did a great job..they do them on average for 200 I believe. So, if anyone needs the hook up..just PM me.

So maybe an even better question (for my situation) is: Is there a huge difference in ride comfort between my car with the premium pkg versus one with the sport pkg? What exactly have they done to the suspension when you get the sport pkg?

My assumption is that for COMFORT, premium (or standard)>sport>eibachs. And for HANDLING, eibachs>sport>premium (or standard). Sound about right?

Sure do appreciate everyone here who gives so freely of their knowledge and experience. Incredible amounts of excellent info.

Yes, there is a difference in ride comfort between your car with the premium pkg versus one with the sport pkg on stock springs. (I've driven both before I bought) The Maxima S that I have has the same suspension as your premium compared to the sport suspension. The sport Package, Nissan sport-tuned the suspension and that's probably the reason why it rides a bit stiffer and handles better IMO.... And for COMFORT, premium (or standard)>sport>eibachs and HANDLING, eibachs>sport>premium (or standard) is just about right.
I noticed a big difference from my stock springs to the Eibach springs in both comfort and handling. It rides stiffer (I'm on 20's) and it handles corners very nicely. I feel confident every time I make a sharp turn. Removes the infamous Nissan wheel gap and IMO gives it a nice stance if your running staggered like Ghost and others on here. Like Maximaguido09c said, just watch out for minor things. In the tri state area, driveways suck so I have to go in driveways very slowly and if I see a big speed bump, well I just pray I don't scrape

Our stock height is around 4.5 inches of ground clearance so after the eibach's which are like 1.5in drop all around you'll be at 3in all around clearance

So by everyone posting about their springs and not struts I'm assuming everyones dropping the max on stock struts? I know in my last car it was considered ghetto drop to get just springs, are our spring rates just not too far off or newer struts/shocks just that much better (than my 99)
