Yet Another ipod hook up question
Yet Another ipod hook up question
Hey guys new to the board here (well I just signed up), but have been reading now for a month or two. Just bought a 2009 max sv w/ premium package and just had a quick question. It did not come with the ipod hook up cable so I bought one on ebay (see link below). The only problem I have with this is that I can not scroll through my artists if a song is already playing. I have to pause the song and then scroll to find the next thing. Also it is so slow at scrolling since I have over 700 artists on my ipod? Is this normal that u have to pause the song to go through your library again? Its so annoying. Any better cable suggestions?

I can't answer your question. But in my 2012 SV I cant scroll through the songs on my iPhone 4S either. If I want to play a song I have to start it and then plug in the cord. It's stupid. I also have no figured out how to play music through the bluetooth. I'm stupid.
Yea by scroll I mean on the LCD screen, not ipod. I use an ipod classic and once it is plugged in it just says nissan on the screen. So I have to sit there holding the down button for 3 minutes to get to the "T" artists or whatever. I cant stand it.
I use a iPod touch and I can scroll through artists just by the 1st letter. While a song is playing, I just push the back button and pick artists. It goes from a-z in about 10 seconds. Either you need a iTouch or see if the dealer has updated software.

2011 SV Sport - I'm also able to scroll through artists quickly while songs are playing. I'm using an iPod Nano. Seems to work great.
My only complaint is that it doesn't pause when a call comes in (via bluetooth). I typically listen to podcasts (Stern Show) and when I get off the call, the podcast is several minutes ahead. It would be nice if the iPod would automatically pause when the phone rings instead of continuing to play behind the scenes.

I've had mixed results with varying cables but have always had good luck with apple cables. If you don't mind spending the $20, http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA591G/B
while we are discussing Ipod/Iphone control - is there a better way to scroll through your playlists ( I have over 350
)? And it takes forever if I use the steering wheel controls or slightly less time by having to constantly tap the double down arrow.......Why can't there be the alphabet on the left hand side of the screen when you want to use your phone? - makes it very easy to call your contacts.........
looking forward to some solutions here.
