Vossen Wheel Help!!!!!

I'm looking to put on some Vossen VVS 082 and need help choosing the right tire size and offset size. I already purchased lowering springs to drop it so would like opinions please. Photos of different offsets would be great.

+30 to +40 offset would be fine for that width. Closer to +30 would be best. 245/35/20 would be the same exact height as the stock tires. But I would recommend a 255/35/20. A little bit wider and a little bit taller which will help fill out the wheel wells better.

I believe someone was running that in the rear with a +47 offset.

Id stick with running a +38 on all for corners and 245-35/20 tire, theres one thing you gotta know and im sure alot of you already do on here, when you run a 20in wheel with a lip it will always look smaller than a full face 20in wheel, so running a thinner tire will accent the wheel more! Just something to think about.....

The rear will fit but what about the front? I want to go super concave. Ive seen Gs and Accords do it so im sure we can pull it off.

IMO I don't think the Max looks as good as the Accords and G's with deep concave in the front. the body of the doesn't flow with it.

Well they were running a staggered setup. Have no idea if there's room in the front for a wide wheel.

In order to pull off the deep concave all around, the car has to be slammed with no tire gap whatsoever. I did the Vossen CV1 20x10.5 +25 all around, a lot of people told me that they would not fit, I was even doubtful with the +25 offset, I had ordered a +42 but the shop messed up my order(which now I am glad they did). With the right tire combo you can make it work. I have a 6th gen thou but don't see why it cant be done on a 7thgen.

Yea I just saw this thread.

I have the 20x9 all around, but the CV3s. If you look Vossen actually makes 20x10 as well as the 20x10.5 now. I will more than likely move to the 20x10 next year and sell 2 of the 20x9s. There is a guy on the FB group Steve Mangaru or something that has 20x10.5 all around with the CV1s. There is also another with CV3s with the 10.5 all around too. It looks good, but like those guy say....It is not a DD car. You would not want to run that setup as a daily that travels a long distance. I have a 38 mile one way commute, so that is a no go for me.

Here is a pic from a recent meet of me with the CV3s and the Eibach lowering spring installed. I have had them on since March, so they have settled more from when they first were on. If you are wondering what is on the inside of the wheel, I put a green pinstripe to go with the accent color I am using...

I also found a couple pics of the white maxima on coils with the Vossens I believe you wanted. They have 20x9 and 20x10.5 rears. They go by Westwood here on the forums.

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at Vossen also VV084, CV3 or 085 . I live in Canada and this is my DD car. I would like to get the staggered look on my car (White Pearl Maxima 09). I like the staggered look, and I think it makes the car "look" mean. What are your thoughts ?

I don't really want to drop the car, again it is my DD and I use it all the time, plus Canadian winter time sucks with a lowered car.

A local company here in the GTA gave me this quote for the CV3 " the cv3 will fit your vehicle it will be $2230 for the set. fronts will be 20x8.5 with tire size 245/35/20 and rears 20x 10 with tire size 265/25/20". You're thoughts on Tires and how will this rids as it being my daily driver (work) ?

Thanks

The way the rear fenders are made on this car really accentuates a staggered setup.

You sure you didn't mean 265/30/20 in the rear? A 265/25/20 would be pretty thin and shorter than the front tires.

Ride quality depends a lot on the quality of tires. Get good tires and the ride difference should be minimal.

Thanks for the help. I think I'll go 20x9 with +38 offset all around with 245 or 255/35/20 tires with Eibach springs. I think that's the way to go.

Another quick question...what do yall think about 20x8.5 with 245/35/20 and running either +35 or +40 offsets? Any thoughts. Really help me understand the offset thing.

Hey,

Thanks for the pics, Nice looking Max.

Few more questions.

1. Is you Max your daily driver ?
2. FOr long extended road trips, how do you find the ride quality from stock to 22's ?

The reason why I'm asking these questions. My Max is my daily driver and I put just alone 120km's a day just travelling back and forth to work, and it work beckons me for client site visits, it can add up. I like my max and the ride quality, and I would like to keep it that way (well some what) on extended road trips. I understand that going to 22's give a much harsher ride and any cracks or bumps in the highways/roads you can feel it alot more.

Thanks. Yes, this is my daily. On average roads it feels the same, broken pavement and rough roads are more pronounced. If your area has a lot of potholes, and you use your car for work, it might not be the best idea. My city has some of the worst roads in the US and after about 18,000 miles they are still holding up.
