I lurked on these boards for a long time since I got my '10 SV. I am now finally registered lmao. I just picked up a '12 Crimson Black (in love with the color). I loved my '10 but Nissan did it right with the little refinements that has been done. Now all I have to do it clay the car, polish and wax it. Gotta love the stealerships not prepping the car right and leaving it parked under a tree.

Hell yea man i got the 2012 Crimson Black Max as well i LOVE this car. This color makes this car look just so much better then lets say white or black maxima.

 

Oh yea! What % tint do you guys use? I wanna get the windows done after I detail and get wheel locks.

 

I tinted mine to 20% in the rear and 35% in the driver/passenger. Really happy with it. Also lightly tinted both of my moonroofs just for the heat reflection.

 

Dude, I have the same and it is a great color.
I hope like hell you understand the amount of maintenance required if you want your car to look as good as it is now!
If you are married your wife will wonder why you are always banging out that clear coat more often than her.

Back when....I bought my 2010 (with tinted windows) at a great price with only 2600 miles on the OD. Great car and everything...bla, bla, bla.

Happened to drive by a tinting shop the other day and asked them what % my windows were. Answer was 16%
Totally illegal here in WA state.

 

The crimson black is a awsome color, I dont think i ever had a car that got so many compliments on.

 

Sounds good. I am pretty much have to go with the NYS law. I forgot what it is. I think it's 50%. Can anybody from NY help me?

 

Im from long island and I got 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear. Haven't had any problems with the police yet. The only problem is driving at night that's when they will get you because u can barely see in them.

I have gone 40% on my last two cars. Especially with black interior it will be dark enough. I had 40% on my 2010 White TL with Ebony interior and I got the same on my 2012 SV with black interior. Here in CT 35% is the legal limit, but with factory tint already coming on most cars now 40% is just right.

 

i got limo tints on the back windows which are 5% and had 20% in the front but some cops in ny are annoying ***** and decided to give me 2 tickets in one week lol. so i was forced to take them off
