Warranty Vs. Performance Mods

Something Like a Throttle Body Spacer, Cold Air Intake and Cat back Exhaust wouldn't violate a Bumper to Bumper Warranty would it?

If the problem you're having is the direct result from your mods, you're warranty will be voided.

Really, Something so simple as cold air intake would void the Warranty?

yup....example. you install the CAI and your mass air flow goes out. they will say your CAI caused it and will void warranty. but that's unlikely. But ur mods just can't be the reason for the issue you are trying to have warrantied.

But my understanding is that they can only void the warranty on that particular component. For instance, in your example they can't void the trans/powertrain warranty.

That's what I was thinking, I'm only planning on CAI, Throttle body spacer, and catback And if someone wants to talk me into lowering the suspension for a greater grip on the road I'm open to that...lol

I paid 2g to extend to 100,000 miles and don't wana wait for that to expire to do some tweak... Anyone else feel me on this...

a dealership will try to void any warranty for almost any reason. a friend told me about a time they tried to denied engine warranty because of aftermarket brakes on the car. these people are retarded

yeah if the part you put on the car directly caused the damage, which is highly unlikely with bolt-ons unless you install them incorrectly, then yeah it would void warranty. simply having them on the car does not "void" anything whatsoever, for it to void a warranty it has to be involved in the break-down of something.

check out the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act bro, it's your best friend as a modder.
