Suspension Squeak

Hey Guys, your help is much appreciated here.

I just bought a certified, pre-owned '09 Maxima SV with 30K miles on it. The car is flawless other than a minor suspension squeak that I think is coming from the rear of the car when I go over potholes or and the like. Is this something that I should take the car into the dealership for them to take a look at? Or, is it something native to the car and I just have to deal with it. I simply hate not knowing whether there is something wrong. A family member of mine owns the dealership where I purchased the car and I am sure they would be happy to take care of it if you guys suggest that I take it in.

Thanks again!

Being that a family member owns the dealership..Why wouldn't you take it in? I had the same problem..but Nissan are a bunch of idiots, So I swapped out the suspension with Eibachs..Problem disappeared after that!

There were two technical bulletins for rear suspension squeaks for that yeanrelated to the sway bar bushings. The first called for the rubber bushing to be removed and lubed. The second called for replacing the squeaking bushings with a new design.

I would got back and have the dealer install the new bushings. They can look up the tsb for the parts, etc.

I had this done on mine last winter, havent had a problem since. Had to take it back twice prior to that, but that was what the TSB stated, first they lube them up, then if it still continues they replace them. good luck

I too have the dreaded suspension squeak. I've brought it in and they replaced rear bushings from the TSB. It did not help it at all.

I notice it at slow speeds going over dips in the road. Speed bumps its very noticeable.

I'll mention it again at my next oil change.
