Iphone 4 with IOS 6 Bluetooth pairing issue

Hi, I have updated my iPhone 4 software to IOS 6.0.1 and now the phone dose not pair with my car.

I am getting this message:

I have also changed the bluetooth name on the car to MY-MAX but it's still showing MY-CAR on the phone.

Anybody has any solution?
Thanks

I tried to pair it with the default name MY-CAR but without success. Then I thought maybe by changing the name it may work, but again no success.

I know that apple updated their bluetooth to the most current version with ios 6 but seeing that the bluetooth works in my 09 Nissan(and your car is discovered under bluetooth settings) it leads me to believe that this is something to do with your phone. Try rebooting your phone first and if that doesn't work, try resetting your settings and that may solve your issue.

It could be your phone or car settings.

I have an iphone 5 and i just bought a 2013 Maxima. I have had NO issues with pairing my phone.

Try another iphone or wipe and reset your phone settings. I know that would suck but Im sure your mechanic would say the samething.

I have the 4s and updated my IOS to 6.01 and the phone still is pairing with my 09 max. No issues here, you may want to back up your phone in itunes and do a restore, then try the pairing process again.
