2011 maxima sv no NAV. when i use the talk button on the steering wheel to initiate a voice prompt, or when i answer a call, i get an insane amount of static/buzzing/white noise, to the point that i cant use that system for phone calls. has anyone experienced this? is it a known issue? whats the fix?

Try making sure your system is grounded really well .

 

If it were just phone calls, I would say to re-pair your phone....but as you say, if it is for all voice prompts, I am afraid a trip to the dealer is in your future!

 

The only time it does it is when I've initiated the voice prompts. All of the music sources have perfectly normal reception. I'm dumbfounded. It must be in the Bluetooth system.

 

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure where the grounds are though.
