Brand new :)

I'm new here, just like my super black 2013 SV Maxima.
Awesome forum with some pretty awesome and helpful people ( read through many threads and responses). Great place to hang out and just read about stuff relating to the 7th gen Maxima.

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the forum.

However, you have just broken rule #1... New ride = must post pics.

nice car nice pics. i guess you're into photography.
3 things you should get:
1) Tints
2) Wheel locks(maybe two per wheel)
3) Alarm(Something like a Viper or Clifford will give you extra features like 4 Auto windows etc)

congrats!

You could put 5 locks on and if someone wants the wheels they are gone, simple socket is as good as a key

Notice how he tells you they make a special socket designed to take wheel locks off

I bought a 2013 Crimson Black, I haven't had a dark car in 15 years and forgot how hard it is to take care of

I refuse to get wheel locks. I want mine stolen. Gives me an excuse to get new rims.

I worked on a car lot in high school (80's) and we had trades all the time with no key to the wheel lock. I could get the lock off just as fast as the regular lug nut after I had done a half dozen or so.

I was banging a socket over the lock, now they have a special socket so I'm guessing it's that much easier

It's not the wheels that matter , it's the damage that they do to the rest of the car taking them off

Yeah, I hear you.
I had a black Acura Legend in the day and it wasn't an easy task. There's a great brush-less carwash nearby and I'll be visiting often

Be careful, the brushless near my house scratched my clearcoat ! I'm guessing the high pressure water combined wit the dirt on the car may have done it as the car only had 600 miles at the time so I know for sure it happened there. Maybe it has something to do with the car being wider than most sedans combined with the pressure. I have also heard people say the Nissan clearcoat is "soft". Never had that issue with my Infiniti but it was White so it may not show up.

From now on I will be washing it myself and jsut spraying the salt/sand off once a week or so in the winter at one of those manual places
