What is best 3m foam tape to use for automotive applications ?

Need to pull off my side skirts and redo everything, as the tape is not adhere to the car anymore. We have some pretty hot/humid days recently I see certain parts of my lip coming off aswell. Weird as previously it was pretty secure when it was installed about a month ago.

AFT 5390 any good?

 

Get something called 3M VHB and I guarantee that any part you foam will not come off at all!!

They use 3M VHB in attaching airplanes' wing parts together so you could imagine how strong it is :P

 

use the 3M black tape with the red backing and the recommended adhesion promoter. if you didnt use adhesion promoter thats why its coming back off
