Hello all, I just signed up today. I found the forum before I found a Maxima. I've been car shopping for last 3 weeks. I currently have an 06 Envoy Denali, 5.3L and was wanting to stick with a GM car. I almost bought a 2012 Malibu LTZ but wife didn't like it, then was close to getting a 2009 Pontiac G8 but it didn't have leather or a sunroof. Then I moved on to Cadillac CTS4 luxury sport but realized I was getting much higher in price than I wanted and my Envoy has not been the most reliable vehicle and has already had a new motor put into it, maybe time to try a different manufacturer. Anyways so then I started looking at 2010 Altima's 3.5 SR and Maxima SV with Premium. Today I found a 2010 Maxima SV sports package that I liked a lot. It's crimson black with black interior, has 77000 km's on it, Nissan dealer maintained with synthetic oil, one owner car, guy wants out of a lease. I put an offer in today and just waiting to hear back. If I don't get this one then there's another I have my eye on with a premium package with nav.
Wish me luck on my offer I hope I get it.

Thanks for the welcomes! We bought the Maxima, I had my first time driving a Maxima yesterday and I was impressed with the giddy up n go action with a lil throttle feathering. I can hardly wait to drive it home. Don't get it till Monday or Tuesday. Getting new tires too, he offered to split his cost on a set of forza or fenza or something like that, I asked for a new set of Yokahama Avid's instead and it only costing me $400. Some road grime/film on bottom or rear doors where it flares out and some slight rub marks on the side like from a car wash or something like that, not scratches tho. He's having the car compounded and polished by his detail guy. They are a high end car lot selling audi's porches,MB, BMW and others like that. The detailer does an awesome job, I was watching him working on a audi yesterday.
So the Maxima was the business manager's, fathers car on lease from Nissan Canada, they were selling it on consignment for him because he was over on the KM's for his lease and it was now costing him lots to drive it. 4 weeks ago it was at $21999, I saw it at $19997 and got it for $19500. My friend ran the vin before I went and it only had 3 very minor warranty claims since the in service date of Nov 2010, has been Nissan Dealer maintained and synthetic oil changes at proper intervals.
First mod will be window tint, probably 15% on the sides and 10% on the rear.
The ugly thing about the car is the rusty hats on the rotors, especially with those rims on. So new rotors with the black powder coat hat that doesn't show rust when I can afford it.
I'll watch for meets as I'd like to see other members rides and the mods done to them.
I still don't even know everything this car has yet, for example the wheel tilt is power and memory, on the other Maxima we looked at it was a lever under the column. I guess I'll learn more on Monday or Tuesday, hind sight I should have took the owners manual to read.
And to think I swore I'd only buy another GM. Lol, originally my wife wanted a dodge avenger or hyundai elantra and that didn't get to far, I wouldn't even get out of my truck at the hyundai place...so glad I found this car and got her to like it!!! Now to tell her about the insurance cost that she didn't know about
....
Here's a couple pics...

I'm always in for a meet. On the other forum I'm on with the Denali we had a meet 2 weeks ago in Niagara Falls, we convoyed the Niagara Parkway from Fort Erie to Niagara on the lake, stopped for lunch near the falls, was a good day. Another place we had a meet was Erindale Park in Mississauga, that was a good spot too...
