I think you're calling crimson black the "maroon".

Yeah there's crimson black not maroon. There's plenty of that color modded on here. Just need to find the right threads like Rims on the sticky. I saw a slammed crimson black max on here on 2013 370Z wheels before. Looked sick. Also if your on facebook, the official my7thgen facebook page has them as well.
Since your new, the minor mods will be tints, blacked out tail lights, interior and exterior led conversion, and Hids.
Major are engine mods like CXJ Intake manifold spacers, BOP's, Short rams, Stillen U/D pulley, custom CAI, etc..
Cosmetic wise, Stillen lip, headlights (Kmoney is well known for doing the job) grill, rims, Eibachs or coils... etc...
Just have your credit card and prepare to spend
And congrats on your purchase man. You'll love the car. Treat it right, it will return the favor....

Nissan has some metal flake finishes that will present with often quite different colors depending on light intensity, angle, and shade. I have had people tell me they thought my CB was actually black until they saw it on a sunny day. This will happen living in Seattle.
As others have stated, there are two Maxima colors that one might call "maroon". There is Tuscan Sun, which is lighter, and Crimson Black, which is darker. Crimson black looks either black or deep maroon, depending on the light and angle. Tuscan Sun always looks like a deep red.
On the driver's side door frame is a sticker that includes information on paint codes. My Crimson Black model shows a paint code of "GAD". I believe "NAD" is the code for Tuscan Sun.

I have the Crimson Black color. I noticed that most of the winter it looked black most of the time. About mid-way through spring the car started to look more crimson. Now that it's summer it looks more crimson that black all the time. I think it's the angle of the sun - I love the color change.

The funny thing about my Max is that prior to owning mine, I almost never saw one on the road. I *might* have seen one or two. Now that I own one, I'm seeing them all the time. I see a lot of black, a lot of silver, and a few in white but haven't seen a single crimson red model around here. My dad was waiting for me to pick him up and he said he saw two silver and a white one, then told me that none of them "popped" like my color does.
Now if I could only find a way to keep it clean!
