New member, new to me Maxima S

Good morning. I'm new to Maximas, but not Nissan. Picked up this sweet Max for the wife while my son was buying a truck. We had a 3.5 Altima SE. Nissans have been great for me over the years. My first one was a '72 Datsun 1200. Looking to learn much about this fine car.

Welcome, I use to drive my parents B210 back in the seventies. So what color did you get?

Very nice, the WF was my second choice if the deal for the Crimson Black fell through.

Our 03 Altima was black. We let our MIL have it, and the black was coming off bad on the roof and hood. It looked like crap, but Nissan would not help us with it. I'm getting too dang old to keep up with another black car anyway...

The Crimson Black is a great color. We were drooling over a loaded Max in that color.

No doubt about it, that dark a color requires a lot of work if you want a nice looking ride. That being said they can be jaw dropping awesome looking when kept up. BTW I love those dark wheels, they go good against the white.

The Max is going on it's first road trip. I'm anxious to see how it does on mileage and ride.

Well, she averaged 28.9 MPG. Not bad for going 75 all the way.

That is about the same I get on open interstate trips. That is very good for a 3600 pound car with 290 HP and a zero to sixty time around 6 seconds. The CVT definitely helps with MPG if we leave it in the normal 'D' mode.
