Any of you nice folks care to upload a video to youtube of the sound the k&N makes during normal and hard acceleration for me? I had a K&N on my old Accord and love the sound, but I'm not sure if I want the extra noise on my Max... A video sure would help me make up my mind....

No video but I put a drop in filter in and honestly I wish it was louder. If I want louder my next step would be a CAI.

I think the drop in is a perfect compromise between stock and CAI.

Try YouTube you can find many videos but listening to them on video is different from in the car.

I had a Fujita CAI on my 6th gen and boy that thing absolutely ripped!!

I like that my car is quiet and powerful, but if it sounded just right, might consider an SRI. Can't really do CAI if the pipe has to route too low. Chicago winters and deep puddles scare me too much.

I loved the sound my Accord made, but that was a four cylinder with an automatic. I'm a little concerned with drone type noises that might accompany the cvt...

Most of the videos on YouTube that include an intake also include an exhaust, which I really don't think I want to put on my car. I drive a lot for work, with a fair amount of highway driving, and I am enjoying the sound difference between my Max (which is quiet) and my old Accord (which was loud when I accelerated due to the k&n and loud on the road due to wind and road noise).

My original request remains if anyone is willing: if you have air intake, but no exhaust mods, video pls...

Yeah you are right about the drone noise that the CVT makes with the air intake but i love it. It makes the car sound more beastier if that makes sense. I love the sound the engine makes but with the air intake its a different feeling. When i step on it, its almost orgasmic My miles to gallons went down to about 18 because i can't drive anywhere without flooring it. I will try to get a video up on youtube for you tho.

I'd sure appreciate it.
When I first out my K&N on my accord, I fell in love with it. When I drove normally. You couldn't tell, but when I floored it, it sounded awesome.

This is how I would describe my Injen intake on my 7th gen. I really like the sound. Probably only noticeable when over 3k rpm. I recommend it as a good option for you to consider.
