Wiring Harness

Just bought a 2012 Maxima with 3k miles and new to the Maxima world. I have a wiring harness hanging under the bumper searched to see what it was but couldn't find anything. Looks like one of the clips has some damage.

Found a location where it might hook up to but it wouldn't take. I just secured it with a zip tie for now. Anyone have any ideas? Car runs well no codes thrown, here's a pic.

I have been on this Maxima forum over ten years, but have never seen this situation mentioned before.

If this is at the rear, it may have been for use with a trailer, and the trailer hitch was removed before the car was sold. If at the front, could the car have been in a cold climate, and the owner had an engine block heater, and this is the plugin?

I would be very reluctant to ignore this.

It's in the front of the car, thanks for the response. I'll look more closely when the wifey gets home. She had to leave to work in the am and was all like "What's hanging in the front of the car?" So I took a quick look and zip tied it

If I'm reading the service manual right... Section MWI-25, it should mount somewhere above the lower grill, on the driver's side.

Thanks you so much, yes I can see where it mounts but one of the tabs is broken so I guess it's staying zip tied.
