after market rear view camera options

what you guys think of this ? It doesn't require tearing up the dash.

I seriously need back up camera functionality.

It looks like you still need to run the wires from the camera to the rear view mirror. Maybe I read it wrong but it only looks like Bluetooth is for audio/phone only. If Bluetooth worked on sending the video without the wiring this would be a great product. IMO

I'm also curious if you set this up how it would interact or effect the factory Bluetooth.

I've had a rear view camera installed in my 6th Gen and it came in handy when parallel parking in the city.

Would like to get your feedback after the install. This seems like a very inexpensive aftermarket mod that allows you to keep your stock radio.

the bluetooth is for mobile phone usage only. You pair the mirror unit to your phone and it works like any other external bluetooth unit like the parrot.

ya the mirror monitor has to be wired back to the rear camera. But my installer says the hard wired cables are better and faster than the wireless versions.

I'd say def run with it! The camera does come in handy, you'll appreciate it.

What are you doing with your factory rearview? If it has compass and home link, I'll take it off your hands.

Let us know if you go through with this, I'm very interested in a backup cam but can't find a good one.
