This was a problem for a few people. They reported coolant leaks. That sound about right?

The dealer didn't say. It was a surprise though, considering my '96 never had a lick of a problem with the engine.

I can't find the thread right now but it's something to do more so with the actual gasket itself being faulty rather than the engine.

The VQ35 is quite reliable.

Mine was leaking too. They were replaced a few weeks ago along with the CVT.

Thanks for the link Shipwreck. Glad to know it wasn't something that I was alone in experiencing. I was worried...

1996blackmax, nice blackout of the grill. My car is silver too, and i think that looks awesome. Did you do it yourself or have someone do it for you?

Thanks! I did it myself a little while back. I used PlastiDip & it's held up well. I made sure to clean the grill very well with dish soap. Then I used alcohol to wipe it down. Once it dried I used four coats. I think I waited around 25 minutes per coat. It tells you on the can how long to wait.

I plan on painting it once it starts to show some wear. I wanted to see if I would like it, reason I used the PlastiDip.
