Slate Max with Black Trim

Just got my chrome trim painted and Stillen Lip on. This site has been great for ideas.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm really happy with the way that it turned out. Now I just need to get an intake installed and some wheel spacers. Gonna hafta wait a few months for that though.

Who? Me jealous? Well, maybe . . .

I have sometimes wondered why Nissan did not black out the chrome on Maximas with the Sport package. Like they did on the 2nd generation. I had two 1985 Maximas, a GL with tastefully done chrome trim, and an SL with the chrome blacked out - looked mean.

Damm Looking sexy. The things i would do if i had that color instead of black. things id do to ur ride. tint the blinkers on the mirrors, put 25mm spacers on the rear and 20 in the front, add roof wing and diffuser, paint chrome nissan emblem infront slate gray with letters black, get rid of chrome lettering in rear and paint nissan emblem black, get headlights painted inside and add halos or however u want to do, send that job to kmoney, also when you get money i would also open up the tail lights and get those custom painted slate grey on any chrome in tail, do not tint tailights or touch the red, just paint the chrome. Like i said i would have a field day with your car. Oh how i love my Max. Can't wait to have some extra cash to keep playing with it.

Yes. I had the trim painted gloss black to match the window pillars and the trim on the mirrors.

budwah,
Why you went with painting and not black stickers for the chrome trims?

I had it all painted because I wanted the door handles and trunk trim to match the color of the car and the window trim/grill to match the existing black that was on the door pillars and mirrors.

Have you thought about taking off the 'MAXIMA' from the trunk and just leaving the burger? It'll balance it out better, aesthetically-speaking.

I agree. Or he could opt to add the "S" or "SV" on the right side like I saw a guy put on his Max here in Texas. That would balance as well.
