Lowering Springs kit

Hi All,

I'm a new member with a 2012 Max. I recently purchased a stillen exhaust and k&n cold air. I'm looking for some recommendations on a lowering springs kit with new shocks/ struts. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks

Most go with a pro-kit for a low budget solution. Long term, I would go coil overs.

I've had my Eibach pro kit springs on about 10 months now and they're great, really improve the look of the car and the car corners a bit better. It still feels stockish as far as the ride quality though, still a good bit of spring travel. The car has dropped nicely about 1.4 inches on all corners (Note: I haven't remeasured the rear since the camber was corrected with SPC control arms). I don't intend to go lower though I have still been considering coilovers. Maybe when the shocks go shot. Hopefully that'll be a while.

If you can afford them, and want to go lower, go with coil overs.

Another option is the H&R kit. Comparable to Eibach, but the front drop is like 0.1 inch lower than the rear. I've heard that H&R have a ride quality very similar to stock.

Don't have them on my car, but I think this will be my first mod of 2014.

Just installed the Eibachs two weeks ago. I have an 09 SV with the sport package, which is a bit stiffer than the non-sport already. It stiffened it up a bit more and the it's little harsher on the bumps. Definitely looks better than stock though. I would recommend them, but I've also heard good things about the H&Rs.

What's the difference between a pro-kit and coil overs?

About how much would coil overs run you in comparison to a pro-kit? Would it still be recommended if you getting let's say 20" wheels and tires for your Maxima?

Here is a link to the lowering springs.

Link to coil over setup.

There is a big difference in the price between the two and a coil over setup will be a stiffer ride quality in my opinion.

Eibach springs just installed, is rear camber kit neccesary??

Hey hey, happy new year everybody. I just got my eibach springs installed about 2 days ago and am curious as to if I should follow @Shipwreck and get the SPC Rear Camber Arm Kit w/ Toe Bolt.

My guy said that it would probably be a good idea and I just wanted to get some feedback. Should I wait a week or so for the springs to settle a little bit and get another alignment before buying the camber arm kit?

The front is fine, but my before and after rear camber and toe measurements:

Before:

left rear: -1.8 camber .59 toe
right rear: -2.1 camber .13 toe

total toe: .46 thrust angle .36

After:

left rear: -1.2 camber .24 toe
right rear: -1.5 camber .09 toe

total toe: .33 thrust angle .07

All this stuff is greek to me but I know it measures the angles of the tires, etc and that tire wear, handling and safety issues may result if those numbers are way out of whack.

Please help! Any and all insight and feedback is appreciated!

Again, Happy New Year everybody!!

I waited a week after installing my eibachs and I also installed the spc camber bolts and rear arms with toe bolts. U have to grind and elongate the can holes which was a little bit of a pain but it put my alignment in the green.

Thanks KRUCKUS, I just read the previous thread that Tee00Max started back on 3/7/13 so that's all the info I need.

I swear my google app on iPhone directed me right to that thread today whereas when I'm on this site on my laptop like last night and I search using the same exact keywords in the maxima.org search bar it's not nearly as direct and/or helpful.

Anyway, my apologies for the interruption. Carry on as you were, gents.
