CPO Extended Warranty

CPO Extended Warranty
Does anyone know how the Extended Warranty works? The paperwork that I was given when I got my car in March I cannot find and I don't feel like calling the dealership to go over all of this. When I got the car I think there was a silver and gold and maybe an elite extended warranty. I can't be sure but I remember I selected to purchase the highest tier. I was told after the original warranty expired the extended one would take effect. My questions:
How long does extended warranty last?
What does it cover (if it's the highest tier)?
What are the different tiers?
Can the extended warranty be extended?
Thanks,
Propa

The CPO warranty should be in the system. I saw it on mine when I got a printout of the maintenance records. You can get an additional warranty on top of the CPO warranty, I got mine online from Nissan if Santa Rosa.

Sorry, thought you were talking about a CPO warranty... But the extended warranty will be in their system as well. Mine shows the CPO warranty and the extended warranty that I got after I got my car.

Is the CPO warranty different than the 3-year 36,000 mile standard? If so, what is the CPO warranty?

The CPO warranty is for Certified Preowned, it is a 7 year 100k warranty. It doesn't cover as much as a regular extended warranty..... Which is why I got the additional coverage. Also, the 7 years and 100k miles starts from when the car was new
so on my 2010 max that had 22300 miles on it when I got it..... I wouldn't have the full 7/100k

Okay. My car is a CPO so that means I have the 7 year 100,00 mile warranty which, since the car is a 2012 now with 35,000 miles on it, means that my CPO warranty has 5 years and 65,000 miles left, RIGHT? I didn't realize that the CPO warranty started at the inception of the cars life! That sucks! In addition, I did opt to get the extended warranty as well so what does the extended warranty do that the CPO doesn't and how long is that for?

I believe the CPO only covers the bare minimum. The extended warranty will cover as much as the regular warranty depend on the level of coverage you have.... I think it goes by gold, bronze, silver or something like that. And the the length will depend on what you decided to get also..... I got a used car plan that covers just about everything and the year and mileage is on top of what was already on the car... Off the top of my head I believe it was a 5 year 80k warranty so that means the car will be 8 years old and/or have 102300 miles on it when it expires. The expiration info of your warranty should be on the maintenance records print out also. Your right about your CPO warranty, and it does suck....that's why I got the extra coverage..
