Couple pics

So I was going to remove my handles and get them painted or do it myself but I couldn't figure out how to do it. Also could of very easily brought it to a body shop and had them do it. I had some white plasti dip and pearlizer so I gave it a shot. Here's my results

I know everyone here says it is, I tried on all 4 doors and they simply wouldn't pop off as people indicate and I wasn't going to pry it. Anyways I'm happy with my results. Next is to hit them with a clear coat after they cure for a week or so.

Also I painted the chrome on trunk and the nissan emblem, but I removed the dip from the emblem because for some reason it looked like crap. I'm installing a spoiler soon and then ill prob remove it. Any suggestions on a color for the emblem? Maybe black? Thanks guys and sorry for pics, gotta wash the car

I must say white is best for a35.

I've been seeing a bunch of them on local streets and they look so good.

Thank u both, ya I was alittle skeptical about it and I did very very light coats til I got the color I was happy with. I'd say its a 99% match so I think hitting it with a clear will be the final step. This isn't in any way me trying to be cheap, although it is cheaper. I do like the idea of switching back whenever.

I know I think if I just told you guys I had them painted no one would tell. The white and the pearlizer really just match up nice to factory paint

Door handles came out pretty good.

Not sure I'd really like the rear emblem white though. Maybe just de-badge that as well.

I also think adding the rear trunk spoiler will really make a difference in the appearance.

I'd like to see some wide angle shots as well.

Any plans for the front of the car?

I agree, totally debadgjng looks good with the spoiler but not without. I've seen a few cars here without a spoiler totally debadged and to me it looks to naked. I just placed the order this morning for my spoiler so should be here Monday. Ill get some pics when I get back to my work, side views...thanks and the front grill top and bottom dipped black and the emblem painted white/color matched

I would leave the chrome look in the emblem until you remove it.

Will do. Just wondering has anyone removed the nissan burger and put the maxima emblem in its place? What's the opinion on this?

Man that looks so sexy. I want to do that. I can't wait to see how this will look with my pano roof. Painting the grilles black makes a world of difference!

Thanks man, it's coming along pretty good. Chrome is outdated and alittle over done on these cars IMO

That white emblem looks great! Do know if the front emblem is stuck on or held on via screws or pins?!

2 clips, open hood remove splash guard to get access to the back of the grill. Look down inside to where the back of emblem would be and you'll see 2 clips. You want to push the clips outward. Put one hand on the front of the emblem and the release one clip at a time as u wiggle the front of emblem out. It's simple, any more help let me know

how did you go about doing the handles, i have the color matched aerosol paint can. Did you remove the handles or did you just tape off around them?

Well I used plasti dip, taped around handles but left room for overspray to peel the excess for clean edges. People here claim it's one screw to remove the handles, I tried but couldn't get them free and I wasn't prying anything so that's why I opted for the plasti dip and couldn't be happier. I also like the idea of being able to reverse it. The only difference painted the handles on the car would be to tape it off really good and cover the key hole on the drivers side.

I know a lot of people here aren't a big fan of plasti dip, but I've had great results and will continue to use it

Yea for sure, shoot me the tips!

I had plastidipped the rims on my charger but after a while it turned like a greyish black...like a faded black, that's why I keep on installing the vinyl..

I said I was going to do it for a while, and finally ordered the spoiler and installed it. Ordered thru amazon from the company spoiler and wing king. I did this by myself so I didn't get a chance to get a step by step with photos, but it's pretty straight forward. I never did anything like this and I thought it was easy enough.
Sorry for the crappy pics, and the car was filthy

Car looks great man, I see the door handles are chrome again and whees are aluminum. What gives? Didn't like the plast-dip, or? I understand they could be different wheels but what about the handles? Just curious, thanks

roof wing / rear window spoiler from shadow speed on eBay; $88 shipped, painted, out the door etc etc and it is an exact match. Your boy is good

Nice. What the max really needs is a nice front bumper lip that rivals european style thats tasteful and proportional.

Nice! You go with shadow speed or STILLEN (or someone else)? I got it done with a buddy of mine; as I'm sure you've read you gotta bend it etc etc but for me it was easier to have him there to hold down the half of the wing I had just finished pressed into place before we switched sides and I finished it up. Easy breezy, done and done

I know it sounds stupid and I should've kept to my own style but I look around the forum I thought to myself the chrome on these cars don't look all that bad, so I peeled it off. After I did it I'm regretting it, but I need to order more because I'm out of white. As far as the wheels go, the brake dust makes them look like doodoo, but after peeling those off I'm regretting it.

Also I change my mind as much as my underwear, so it's good thing this stuff is not permanent

I just need to find one look and stick with it

Spoiler looks good and for the price you can't beat it, I haven't ordered one yet because I was thinking about putting gloss black vinyl for the roof.

What do u guys think? Vinyl the roof? Or leave it the way it is
