Highway only I can get 400+ miles to the tank. 70/30 (highway/city) 375. City only I get 250-300 a tank!!! All on premium gas...

I'm averaging around 21-22. Consider this: my dad lent me his 335Xi and I checked his averages. He's getting 19-20. My car is bigger, heavier, and more luxurious. His is faster and more powerful (and awd).
Considering the big motor, great power, luxury touches and size of the car, I'm impressed with the fuel economy I'm getting.
For reference, I had an 05 Accord. I spent months perfecting strategies for saving gas. That 4 cylinder, 4 door car left me averaging 27-28 mpg but was slug with virtually no luxury. I'm happy to give up 5-6 mpg for what I ended up driving. It's worth it.

I bet your dads 335xi felt like a better car to drive. Steering response, road feel, torque and acceleration. I miss my 335i so much

I'm only getting around 15-16 city, as my commute to work is short and filled with traffic (not to mention that I use the remote start quite a bit).

Wow...65ish mile round trip every day and probably 20 minutes of slow and go traffic....I get anywhere from 23.5-25.8 mpg. All depends how heavy my right foot gets when moving. 15-16 mpg means you drive like a NASCAR driver or something is wrong with your vehicle. Either way, you should get it looked at.

This is exactly what I get. I drive 45k miles a year, and get between 24 and 26 on the highway.

That car is pretty nice. My brother used to have a 335 without the all wheel drive. Felt the same as my dad's.

Not sure it's a better car to drive though. The motor and transmission is admirable - fantastic even (as though it is constantly taunting the driver and saying "really tough guy? That's all you got?"). Better all around car? Meh. Ride isn't as nice, seats aren't as comfortable, and it's pretty plain inside. Plus, it felt more cramped.
That motor though. Oof. Awesome.
