About To Convert The Car Back...Here's The Best Pics
I finally posted images of the finished product from two years ago. I am about to change it back to original because I may be moving to Hawaii soon and the lease is up in August, so it may end up sitting for a while. The car draws a lot of attention so I thought you guys would want to see it. Also, I will be selling the wheels, and want to trade the tail lights, brake light, turn signals and grills for stock stuff at no additional charge to anybody who is interested. I will have a set of Eibachs available for cheap also. Check out the classified section if you are interested.
Well...enjoy.

Why lease it?
I leased the car because at the time I sold Nissans and did a lot of calculating. It was cheaper, not just by payment, for me to lease the car and then purchase in the end of the lease based on the insane cap cost reduction with my current lease turn in and being a VPP A-plan member.
Also, when I got the car the lower payment helped out a lot because I was 27 years old with over 30 traffic citations in my history. Plus living in Michigan at the time (which has some of the worst police officers and insurance rates in the country in my opinion), I needed the lower payment at the time.
Buyout is $22,000 at the end and it will have about 47500 miles on it which isn't worth it to me anymore. I am ready to get a cheapo car for the next 3-5 years and save up for an Audi TTRS or RS5 or something of larger scale like a GT-R, that's assuming I still have the same amount of interest in cars at that point in time. I'm not sure where my head will be at then. I'm ready to make life...simpler...for a lack of better word, at least for a few years. Don't mean to get deep with you guys. Just explaining how I got to this point with the car and why I initially leased it.
I pay 395/mth (INCLUDING TAX), $365 before tax, on a car that had a sticker price of $39,430 in May of 2011. I did a sign and drive, $0 out of pocket and a 15K mile/year lease. I couldn't help myself.

In reference to the tail lights.
I had my paint guy scuff the tail lights and apply two-three light coats of color matched Crimson Black to them after masking the clear turn signal area. This is a 2011 car so keep in mind the areas that have been painted were RED not CLEAR. After he applied those few light coats (at my discretion hoping the lights would still shine through and no take backsies), he then applied a clear coat. We did the same with the third brake light (in the spoiler). I couldn't be happier. I get more comments on the tail lights than anything, aside form the wheels of course. They look incredible in person all waxed and shined up. You can't even tell they are custom and it fools some folks who actually have Maximas into wondering what it is. This same process was done with the turn signals. The only thing I would have done differently with turn signals on the mirrors would have been to swap LED bulbs with white instead of keeping the yellow perhaps.
So in response to your questions, the tail lights are color matched. I wouldn't tint tail lights ever after trying this method. Just be careful because there's no take backs if you apply too much paint.
