What do you think of this 2010 Maxima SV?

So I am very new to this forum and it seems like there are a lot of helpful members on here so I would like to get your opinion.

I may be joining the Maxima family very soon and picking one up next week! I have looked at a lot of them and here is a link to the one I might be getting!

http://midwaynissan.ca/inventory/Nis...+Silver+140270

It is fully loaded with Navigation package included. Clean carproof and maintained at the Nissan dealership. I managed to negotiate the price down to 16.5k!

Any advice? What should I be cautious of? What should I ask the sales rep about and what should I be looking for?

Thanks!

The mileage is to high for me, for that mileage I wouldn't offer no more then 10k. The car is clean though otherwise and it looks very nice.

The 2010 maxima is that last year nissan extended the transmission warranty to 10yrs/120k so that warranty will be void soon enough. For 17k u can find virtually the same car with half the mileage. For reference I purchased a 2010 maxima s with 20k miles back in June for 18.5k

Just my 2 cents

Thanks Tommy.

I do understand the mileage is a little high.

Where did you purchase your Maxima from? Was it from a Nissan dealership or private?

Also where do you live if you don't mind me asking?

I'm pretty sure you're not going to get it for 10 grand, you can forget about that but it's definitely not worth the asking price either you can definitely get a certified pre-owned for that price if you search hard enough.

The car has been certified pre-owned recently by the dealership.

Also, I had it negotiated down to 16.5k which based on some of my research with other dealerships within 100km of my location is actually a pretty good deal.

Anything I should be cautious of?

Guys,

The odometer is in KM so it is about 72K miles. Cars in Canada are usually 20 to 30% higher than US. I have lived on both sides of the border so I know. I looked up auction prices and it is about $13.5K at the auction in US. Add $1K for auction fees and reconditioning that brings you to 14.5K. I think you are getting a decent price.

Guys, this is 116,907 kilometres !! not miles! it translates to 72,642 miles.

I've been searching for a 2012-2013 SV without the Sport Pack and I see these for $20-23K CAD dollars.

You decide if the Sport package is worth it?

Damn sorry for not mentioning that, but yeah it's in kilometres!

I definitely like the sport package as I am a young guy and the features of the sport package definitely appeal to me!

Any other opinions on it? What else do you think I should have checked out before making my final decision?

As some stated above, 10k would be to low...I overlooked the kilometers and assumed that was miles. I think a fair offer for a car that has 70k would be around 13-14k.

Seems like a good deal! I would say go for it. Pre-Congratulations are in order!

Question: I notice that the lights in the headlight housing that are lit up are never lit up on my Max. I've been trying to figure out how to get them on. Is there a reason mine don't light up? I have bulbs in them.
